Chivas Regal 12YO 1L $73.99 or 8000 Qantas Points Delivered @ Qantas Wine

121

Qantas Wines currently have Chivas Regal 12 YO 1L for $73.99 or 8000 QFF points. Free delivery too.

Was shopping around for something QFF “points effective” and stumbled upon this. Works out to be ~108 QFF points per $1.

Further more, Dan Murphy currently sells this for $85.99 and First Choice for $86.00.

You also get some QFF for the order too.

First deal posting so go easy on me. ;-)

  • Chivas Regal 12YO 1L $73.99

I'd rather buy it at Liquorland for $70

    • More expensive when factoring in delivery. (I do quote delivery).

I'd much rather buy the 700ml for $45 from first choice. It's regularly at that price or lower, have gotten it as cheap as $40

I always scratch my head why the 1l bottles always cost more than 1.5x the price of the 700ml bottle. It's like they charging u more to buy in bulk, opposite to groceries and household items

Most people who drink this aren't good at maths, so they can get away with it.

      • I probably agree with you on that. ;-)

That is a fair comment. It is decent deal from a QFF point of view. Of course there are better drinks and better ways to spend points. Each to their own.

  • How much is 8000 Qantas points worth? $80 or less?

    • Depends how you value the points.
Some value it a 1 cent or more per point because they can sell it for that much
I cbf so I use the gift cards points cost to determine value … atm it’s about 0.00629 cents for me, each to their own

    • It really depends on what you spend it on. https://www.choice.com.au/travel/on-holidays/airlines/articl…
. It looks like there's been a QFF points inflation in recent years. Unless you're booking domestic I struggle to see much value in them.

  • Just redeemed some stuff off Qantas Store and have to say I much prefer Pick-up than Delivery.
Although we have marked "leave at door" but for some items they just cant or wont.
I can understand they cant leave alcohol, or maybe not. Naked Wine is happy to leave a whole carton at our door!
But Qantas Store had to make us go to the Post Office to pick-up a Kettle!
Just our luck, there's always someone home but for that few hours they came and we werent home….
