  • Hi OP!

Any idea if/when a W2700 will hit the store?

    • +1

it's still a new unit, I'd say it may take a while to be available as a refurbished.
      Thank you

Your store usually has some genuine deals but when pricing is listed like this, it does make it seem that the deals aren't really that genuine, even if it is just a mix up:

    Special Price: $299.00
    Our Price: $599.00
    RRP: $399.00

      Hi Billy,
      sorry for the confusion.
$599.00 was the RRP for a new unit.
$399.00 was prev. price for refurb.
      $299.00 is the current price.

      Thank you
      Vilas

      • No worries, thanks for clarifing!

FWIW, it is a great projector. I bought mine new for $737.18 in 2017 during an 18% off eBay sale, and it looks like the pricing hasn't reduced over the past couple of years.

Note: it is the HT1070 in the US market.

      • Yeah it's still going strong.
Thank you for your feedback and we're glad that you liked our product.

  • HI,

Is a refurbished projectors lamp replace with new lamp or not? Where can I buy a Benq W11000 4k projector lamp?

    Thanks

OP, you should see if an OzBargain special on the W2700 is possible - I think there's a few of us out there waiting for a price drop/sale!

        • Yeah, It's a great unit with a lot to offer in picture quality.
It will take a while i believe as it's still going very strong in the market as brand new.

        • It's worth it! Just get it on the 10% off ebay deals, it is pretty reasonable compared to what I understand Benq is selling them to resellers for. I got one, currently still looks amazing in my half converted theatre room (no blackout blinds, painting or screen yet). Projecting off a matte off white roller blinds. Messed with the settings and the blacks look pretty amazing for a projector.

@hypie: Thank you Hypie for your feedback and support.
This is the reason I've been saying it may not be available as a refurbished so soon LOL.

          • +1

@hypie: Videopro told me BenQ won't let them list the w2700 on eBay, presumably because they don't want it sold in the 20% off sales.

            • @edshays: I think there was a shortage (not sure if there still is) - so I imagine they're controlling the stock levels by making sure prices stay at RRP…

One of my friends managed to snag one for a great price, but had major issues with it.
Dealing with support was a major headache for him at that point, and he ended up getting a refund.

I'm going to wait until it's worth the gamble considering Benq's tactics at the moment.

I got one a few years ago directly from Benq that was refurbished, it did come with a dead pixel and Benq exchanged straight away without any hassle.

  • Hi Rep,

Do you have any portable battery powered projectors?

  • Hi OP, what does "refurbished" mean? What do you guys do to them to put them in that category? Is it a clean and new lamp?

  • I initially saw this and got excited for the W1210ST but imo $949 for a budget HD projector is still way too expensive, especially considering it's a refurb. Viewsonic have brand new 4K projectors with RRP $1,499.

I actually sent an e-mail to BenQ over 3 weeks ago asking about the availability of the HT3550 projector (a shortish throw 4k projector) in Australia. I still have not received a reply.

My last BenQ projector (W710ST) died of a DMD chip failure way before I needed to replace the lamp so I'm starting to lose faith in this brand and it's terrible support.

    • HT3550 = W2700 in Australia.
