Hi
We have been given a Samsung Galaxy that has a no-go battery (well at least that I assume is the reason it won’t start).
My question is, is it worth buying a new battery and could I use it for chromecasting or as sat nav in car?
If I go down the road of new battery where in Canberra would be best?….. Or on eBay?
I have tried discounting the battery and restarting but that didn’t do squat!
Thanks
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0

With charger connected…….. nothing ;)
TaIt's probably not the battery and given it's age it's probably rubbish :(
Its only $20 for a new battery to try it out I guess
Buying a tablet version like this one you're looking at $80 so I guess its a trade off
Personally I'd ditch it especially since it doesnt even come on (Id charge at least 1 hour) after plugging in to the socket to chargeBattery - lasts for 3 days typically and for web surfing / gps should be fine
Software - Version 4.4 (current 9.0).. Mehhttps://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Original-Battery-for-Samsung-Gal…
SlowCarSlow was on the money. I tried a different cable and bang… it got charged.
So now to see what the beast can do :)
I know nothing. Would it work with a powerbank / charger connected?
