Ridiculous… Saw $1.71 at a couple, then I saw one around the corner from my house at $1.29. Filled up one car, and then raced home and filled up the other one

    • This.

I saw 30c difference the other day, but now seems all the kical stations are around $1.60.

  • Hmmm. In my city, ULP91 ranges from $1.38 to $1.40 and have actually gone down about 5 cents/litre in the past week.

    • Thats just the natural fuel cycle, we won't see the high point until the cycle restores.

Why was this posted as a deal lol

    • this is the forum, not the deal section.

  • 125c at 7-11 still.

  • Anyone needs a 10c coles express voucher (flybuys), expires 22nd Sep…PM me your number

  • PULP98 still $1.56 near work at Parramatta.

$1.64 at the cheap place 200m from home in Erskineville. $1.56 if I want to drive a few km up the road.

GF doesn't look at fuel prices and lives on the North Shore. She paid $92 to fill her old Mazda 323 with PULP98 on Monday. Yes, I realise PULP98 in that car is like feeding a pig truffles but she only fills up every 2-3months and we figure it's degraded down to ULP octane by then.

Going up because of supply shortage. Saudi oil plant hit by drone attack.

is oil that scarce that one plant hit suddenly raises price?

    • “The IEA has informed us that we are well-stocked, that the world is well stocked,” he told the AM program’s Sabra Lane. “This is a global disruption, it’s about global prices, so we’d expect any impact (on Australia) to be minimal.”

Usually the price will be reflected(if any) 1-2 months later as it takes time to extract, transport, refine then transport again to us.

The current rise is more likely the effect of low AUD $$

Old news now. Oil prices have dropped again when it's been announced that production levels are currently being restored.

  • going past $1.90 now

  • Merged from PSA: Get Ya Fuel Now!

Fuel prices are going back up today by about 33 cents so if you're on empty before the school holidays then fill her up at the few stations that haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    • Make sure you be an Ozbargainer by spoofing your location to the cheapest 7/11 petrol station (by checking projectzerothree)

    • Given the variation between States the OP information is pretty useless!!
ULP91 in Victoria is presently around $1.59, and Darwin $1.38
So which Sate are we referring to?

PetrolSpy app is my go to. I've used the app in SA and Vic, and saved significant amount on a couple of road trips.

    • OP should look at the graph in petrol spy. Last week it went up astronomically due to the attacks on Saudi refineries. Not going up again this week. If it goes up another 33c it is almost $2 a liter.

    • Sorry I couldn't reply earlier. Was out.

This price increase is for Sydney's CBD and Eastern Suburbs. The price dropped back to the 130s this week but just returned upwards (e.g. 138 this morning to 171 this evening at some stations - not all stations have flicked the switch yet so you can see for yourselves in Randwick, for example). For the past few months the overnight fluctuations have been huge and the franchises stagger when the price increases across their stores so it's obvious when a huge rise is avoidable.

I always use price checking apps but the upward trend in Petrol Spy graphs aren't as informative as the outliers in Sydney's Eastern suburbs due to staggered increases and lack of real competition (compared to the south and west). When the "cheap stations" around here go heavy you know it's gonna be bad.

I only mentioned it because NSW school holidays are coming up where people visit distant families, so real savings could be made filling up tonight for Sydney's Eastern dwellers.
