  • Save your money Nothing can repel what they say it can.

      Water and oil?

Pretty easy with a lot of coatings you can get.

Regardless, looks to be mostly just marketing wank for what will be an enamel clear coat paint you can probably buy at Bunnings.
      Not that your should.

+1 not sure where he is getting this from. The coatings repel what they claim, its not like they claim they will repel bullets. Then there is paint protection film that will repel stones, scratches etc.

But yes this is clearly a marketing wank

Ceramic coating is just a new way to take your money like the infomercials on TV.. Go spend your money on a quality wax to apply after you wash it and do it every 3 months if your anal about it

You need to tick the "Associated" checkbox OP.

    Sounds like an ad

      Smells like an ad

      • It is an ad?

        15% off… "quoted" price… i say it is a bargain…

        • If they are more expensive than their competitors to begin with…

  • What brand is the ceramic coating? Not many details on the website

    • +1

      Nanoceramic®

      in OP

      • Thanks. Sounded a bit generic to be a brand name. I’ve tried opticoat and ceramic pro. Both have been equally effective. Maybe similar protection with this.

Since there's not price I'll ask for a quote plz.

Wrx 2016 for a detail & ceramic coating

    Thanks in advance

You would probably want a full paint correction before you ceramic coat it.

How much does it cost for
    Small car
    Small sedan
    Large sedan
    Suv
    Utes
    Dual cabins
Or is it depends on brands ? 😂

  • When I purchased my car early this year car dealer offered similar ceramic coat for $1500. When I refused they reduced it to $700. Is this the same thing. Is this better than waxing & polishing?

    • It's a thickish clear layer of paint with some nice properties.

It's nothing special or magical, it's quite literally protecting your paint by applying a hard layer of paint to take some abuse.

It is better than waxing alone, but you'll still want to wax and polish this.

Clear coat paint itself is pretty cheap, and doesn't require the same level of care when applying, so it's much cheaper than painting your car again - but it still takes quite a bit of time and preparation to be done correctly.
$700 is honestly pretty good, though car dealerships won't give you nearly as good a job, or likely as thick a coat.

For what it's worth, I know a guy who got the option from the dealer, and it didn't do shit. In fact it looked like it started yellowing after a year of Queensland sun.

I would expect these guys would do a much much better job and likely have a better product

'Sydney's #1 Voted Automotive Detailing Experts'

Lol business's that claim they are they best are straight up the business's I stay away from. Bit like when business's say 'we are the only experts'. Really? google tells me otherwise, don't take me for a fool.

I install Paint Protection Film and have met some pretty awesome detail shops in sydney over my time. Detailing and coating Ferraris, Lambo's etc daily whilst your instagram is full of pics from Google. Never even heard of Schmicko, never even heard of nanoceramic with its 'years' of durability. Would be pretty keen to see where this vote is that you are Sydneys #1 detail shop although please note family and friends are not sufficient enough to count for the whole of Sydney.

    • They usually have some stupid online survey where they get a couple people to vote for them, but mostly keep the survey unknown. You throw some other local businesses in the survey, and Bam! No. 1 in Sydney, with evidence.

      • so yes get your family and friends to vote :)

Its just such a wanky way for businesses to sound. Just put out quality work and showcase the work you do and people will come. Treat the customers like fools and you get less calls then you would.

        • Yep. I go by word of mouth. You being Brisbanes number one company, offering activated dynamic nano-cellular technology means as much to me as …….I can't think of anything right now. Pretty drunk tbh. But damn these Holland something beers suck. Is like liking the floor of a public pool change area, except there is no promise of chlorine killing they bad bacteria
