Love the colour but I don't really love that face too much.

A few drinks and you really won't care lol

      @leftspeaker2000

Stop looking in the mirror then 😘

  • 'Calibre Accuracy - +45 -35 seconds a DAY', that's a broad operating window of accuracy. Nice looking watch though.

Yeah the 4R35 is kinda interesting…Pretty sure it's just a means to cut cost by putting in a cheaper movement but charging the same for the "range".

Still, the looks of this Mockingbird is pure sex. That green is gorgeous.

      • It is pretty. Is the Black cat Martini a 21k or 28k movement? If it's 28k that'd be the better buy.

      • It is a mainstream movement, that's for sure. Note worthy compromise is the mainspring (not SPRON). Seiko are known for very conservative accuracy numbers. Lots of people report ~15secs a day and some better with adjustment.

        Sex on a strap

          Strapon sex?

          • @[Deactivated]: Hey steady on now, doesn't that hurt (so I've been told). 🥒

      • +1

Pure sex? Get yourself into therapy bro.

    • Probably ass covering. My Samurai with same movement usually runs about -2s/day, which is great.

I literally said that if this watch dipped to $400 something that I'd snatch it up and I have done so.

    I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY, STARBUY.

  • Has anyone bought watch from this website: http://www.discountshop.com/au/? A quick google search pointed me to some good reviews, however just want to check if someone from ozbargain has bought from them.

    • +1

They most likely wouldn't be authorised dealers, so your warranty wouldn't be recognised in Australia.

Discountwatchshop is fine. Their pricing often goes through cycles (I only really follow Seiko on there. Watches will progressively get more expensive, appear to sell out, then miraculously reappear at the cheapest price again. https://www.discountshop.com/au/warranty

    Damn you Starbuy,

I already have the SRPB41J1 (https://www.seikowatches.com/au-en/products/presage/srpb41j1) which I absolutely love , so tempted to buy Mockingbird SRPD37J as well…

    That gorgeous green face!!!

  • I've got a Seiko that I don't wear much because of the band - any tips on how to start/where to buy a DIY replacement band (leather)?

    • +1

Maybe take one off a cheap pawn shop/ cash converter watch.

Easy to buy a replacement strap. It's not hard to take out either. You just need the right tool to push the spring bar in and get it out.

Find out what the strap size is for the watch (just measure the lug width) and buy according to that.

Thought I'd expand on this since I received the watch, the strap actually has a quick release mechanism, so it makes it so much easier to change!

    It has arrived!
