So it's not a free $25 card then, it's a rebate on a service I was only gonna do for the "free" card. Never mind. Hope it's of use to someone though.

Just FYI.. smile direct club has got the huge complaints for messing with peoples teeth over in america and there is in a process of a class action lawsuit. Basically they have tried to make you sign away all your rights to litigation when you buy the product. That is what happens when you have unsupervised care - just youtube some of the disasters and you will see the evidence

Beware they say they have 250+ orthodontists in their team but non registered/practising in Australia so essentially have no liability. They will make sure you sign all your rights away and once your treatment fails you will end up with a very expensive bill to fix it.

Sounds like we probably won't be smiling after taking up this deal!

hmmm. I was going to look into these guys or look into invisiline but looks like these guys are off the table.
Thanks @Maulmonk and @panacheski for the heads up. some quick googling produced some eye opening reviews.

Go see a registered orthodontist - many orthodontists offer free consultations and very often if your case is simple you'll be eligible for a cheaper package of invisalign called moderate or lite.

don't go cheap on your health!

      • Thanks for the tip mate.

"don't go cheap on your health!"

YEah, trying to balance not going too cheap and not having to sell the house to fix my teeth.

From what I understand they use a loophole where they employ overseas dentists who aren't registered in Australia.

Apparently if you're not registered in Australia then Australian regulatory bodies have no jurisdiction over you.

    I actually applaud their ingenuity.
