Anyone got personal experience on this route. Need the wide seat, not necessarily all the other stuff. Have looked at Iwantthatflight etc and Qatar is cheap… but when I looked into it, Qatar doesn’t even do Premium Economy….. And a lot like Qantas have Premium only on part of flights ie London to Melbourne.
As it’s not for me, I would like a ‘simple’ flight …. start to finish with no messing about with bags or airports? Saying that, Any one use Premium E with Scoot from Berlin or Athens?
Cheers

Thanks, great info. It’s trick comparing!
Premium economy is mostly barely any wider. You gain like 7 inches worth of leg room, but only an inch or two on width.
PEY might simply not be available on those short haul flights
You should probably compare the seat width offered (which can differ between airlines and aircraft types even for the same class) before deciding whether to include or exclude certain airlines from your search
Qatar is the best airline in economy, you’d be better off ringing them and buying two economy seats vs buying one qantas premium economy seat.
So I am still working it out but width of seat varies widely (!) Virgin economy could give u a wider seat than premium economy depending on the airplane u get and the layout of that plane. And Singapore and Qatar have great service but narrow seats.
So far Scoot (even economy) is looking good. You should be able to find out the aircraft type that is scheduled for a particular flight on a particular day from the airlines' website.
Maybe you should start by the minimum width that's acceptable to the traveller and take it from there.
Flying long haul with an LCC can be more expensive than flying with a full-service airline once you've factored in baggage and meal (which are pretty much unavoidable when flying long haul).
