    I've seen this set at DFOs for ~$99, so not really a deal, plus I notiecd the steel in the latest Stanley Rogers dinner sets tarnishes quite badly

    Hi Rodripa, the Virginia set is made from 18/10 stainless steal which is one of, if not the highest grade of stainless steal that's used in cutlery.

    Regardless of manufacturer, 18/10 stainless steal is much more resistant to corrosion and tarnish than ordinary stainless steal.
