I would not recommend the one you have linked here. I had it on my phone and after a month or so of use left marks on the glass screen (almost like it had worn some of the glass coating). I did not get this with my Apple branded one, could be different leathers or coatings used?
True! I scoured the clearance bin at Harvey Norman and got a Lifeproof case for $15, that had the retail sticker of $109.

Given the cost of replacing the cracked glass on the XS is $468 then people who advocate buying cheap cases to protect a phone worth $1400+ should not be listened to.
You could buy a way more protective and high quality case for like $20-30. This case won't do much. Also pair it with high quality tempered glass screen protectors and you are set.
Lol ‘way more’ sounds like a compelling metric. If you can’t afford a decent case to protect an expensive iPhone you probably can’t afford the iPhone.

Apple products are niche aimed at consumers above a certain income level. I’m sure there are lower priced products out there which are more suitable for you.
