Qantas Points have expired and have been given a challenge to get a few thousand points into the account for the expired points to be reinstated. Anyone know any good ways to get a few thousand points into the account without buying flights? Where and what products?

Otherwise you could use https://shopping.qantas.com/ which is similar to cashrewards/shopback but you get points.
The following method is too late for you, but it is a low cost way to leave account active.
Kogan online shopping with added QFF membership, get a cheap $4.9 SIM and you earn 2 QFF points.
If you just want to keep it active the Qantas wellbeing app mentioned above can get you a point or 2 daily depending on your steps.
I had the same thing happen recently, and I ordered some wine from their store. From memory, it cost me about $150 and got me 10,000 points. I needed 2000, but from two partners, so just used the Qantas link for an ebay purchase to satisfy the 2nd partner requirement.

Book a restaurant via the Qantas website - return rate is 100 Qantas points per diner.
I may have unknowingly found a (dodgy) hack, but I booked a restaurant for 6 via Qantas (600 points). Things fell through such that a few hours prior to the reservation time, I called the restaurant direct and cancelled the booking. They said thank you for letting them know. My account was still credited the 600 points.
I've not cancelled a recent booking so don't know if it still works - but I'd just say be mindful that there is a restaurant on the receiving end that may be impacted by this if abused.
Perhaps just see this option as just an opportunity to obtain points from a place that you already frequent or intended to visit/dine at.
