XBOX ONE with Logitech C922 Webcam Issues

Hey guys
I just got a brand new Logitech C922 for my XBOX ONE so I can use it on my mixer streams.

I plugged the camera into the Xbox one and started my broadcast and noticed the sound on my head phones cutting in and out, all choppy like. I use a PS4 Platinum Headset with a 3.5mm cable connected to my Xbox one controller as they are only wireless for PS4.

I then thought maybe it was my cable, so I changed the cable but the problem was still there. Then I decided to use a pair of Apple earphones connected to the controller to test and it still did it with these too. Went back to my PS4 headset and played around but couldn’t get it to work so I then went to my broadcast settings and turned off camera which fixed the problem straight away.

But once I turned the camera back on the sound issue happens again.

Anyone got any ideas of what’s going on or how to fix this or even what the problem is?

Really driving me nuts

Thanks ;)

  • My guess, the microphones on the webcam are overriding the microphone on the headset

    • Would that also stuff the audio up as in the sound of the game?

How would one turn the microphone off on the webcam when using on a Xbox one?

      • No way to turn it off besides unplugging it.

Since you are on Xbox you can only choose your input device aka microphone you want to use.

My guess is yeah some weird signal cross interference is happening or the webcam itself is fault but I have honestly no clue I am interested to see what the issue is.

  • So I did more research and when the camera is connected to the Xbox the mic on the camera is automaticity turned off

I’ve also connected camera to computer and disabled all the auto settings and selected 720/60 over 1080/30 but as soon as camera is turned on on my Xbox when streaming the sound in my headset goes crack snap and pop again

    Ahhhhh!!!

    • when you say crack snap and pop is it ongoing or just one set of sounds.. like is it constant white noise or constant interference reacting to your external sounds around the headset or camera?

Try to isolate each microphone and see if something maybe is triggering the sound like some external sound you cannot hear yourself but the mic is picking up/

For example if you leave a mic on a slightly vibrating surface like a PC case with a GPU going turbo jet mode because it is spinning up all its fans at 100% then that could be your problem.

      • I returned camera as I’m sure it was faulty

        • That was my thought too.
