does it come with .edu.au email and free access to Microsoft Office?

No, it does not. I have previously done Understanding Dementia and it did not, as it is a MOOC course, not an award one.

Hi Wally - no, I think that is only if you sign up to a degree/award course, not a MOOC.

  • As someone who used to oversee the front-line staff in the student centre, this MOOC was the bane of my existence.

    • How so?

Imagine a lot of geriatrics trying to navigate a 'modern' university enrolment process, and online learning environments. Lots of hand holding and trying to explain what to click over the phone. Lots of "what web browser are you using?" "I don't know - I just click the button on the desktop and I open the internet." conversations.

Why are people so keen on an edu.au email - just curious?

Free Microsoft office and access to Samsung education store. Also depending on the uni you can get a student ID for cheap public transport.

      • I see a trend of people being given negative votes for asking a genuine question, wonder why that is

If only I could remember to take this course.

    • Poor taste. You might thank yourself in a few years, or your children might.
