Spreets canceling voucher

this spreets voucher was advertised for a year, the website still shows this, so does the voucher. But the business seems like they had enough and just told unused vouchers it's finished.

What do u reckon of this? I think it's a bit dodge, kept the money in bank for 6 months and now refunding.

Thank you for purchasing "Dinner For Two For Just $39! Eat, Drink And Be Merry! Get $113 Worth Of Food And Drinks At Eau De Vie Restaurant In Hip Chapel St" back in December 2010.

It has only come to our attention that there has been an error on the vouchers that were sent out to you. The expiry date printed on your voucher under how to redeem shows 17/12/2011 when the correct date should have been 17/06/2011.

    Very strange that they would only email you now. Oh well, at least you got a refund. Guess we won't know if truly is an error or the business reneging on the agreement. As for interest, $39 at 6% pa / 2 is $1.37. There were 92 purchased so even if none were redeemed it's only $126.04.

      Unacceptable timing. If there were only 92 purchased, you'd have to think that they would just cope with whatever remained. It's not like they sold thousands of vouchers and are drowning. Poor of both Spreets and the restaurant.

    Well u found 1 link, spreets sell and resell, the offer was the side offer the next day, I think I saw a link with another with over 100, totaling 200 sales.

    As for not knowing the error, well, it's printed on every voucher, so I find it unlikely its an error, they presumably would have accepted a hundred of them before June, lots of opportunity to spot the difference
