$600 off on Samsung Series 8 RU8000 65" 4K UHD LED TV at JBHiFi, now selling at $1,695. Based on experience, there is room to negotiate another $100 or so when you speak to the store salesperson. Delivery charges are extra. I believe Samsung lead the TV technology and at this price it a great deal to get a 65 inch TV with Ultra HD. Suggest you go to the website and check store availability before heading to the store.

Not sure if you're able to further negotiate at other places, but you can at JBHiFi. Also some work places do discount JBHiFi vouchers, which gives you a further upside.
You gotta put that price in the title.
Plus 1
Good idea, have updated now. Thanks
I had a look at this and the tv didn't seem to do upscaling very well. SD and HD concurrent (FTA TV) looked very soft
- VideoPro eBay: $1392 + $77 Delivery (Using code PILOT20)
- Appliance Central eBay: $1390 + $40 Delivery (Using code PILOT20)
Plus $100 visa gift card from betta if you buy from AC
1330 is a pretty good deal. Pity I'm not in a market for one. Happy with 55 oled for a little more.
Agree, OLED rocks
1395 at Appliance Central eBay + $100 cashback from Betta
How do you get the $100 cashback?
From what I gleaned quickly skimming through, you can just buy from AC, then lodge the online form and get $100 back
@Gazpacho: Yes. Appliance Central is Villawood Betta Home Living
This or the Hisense?
This offer is good but waiting for Hisense R8 given OZ Bargainers love that TV more.
I always assumed Hisense was the… lesser brand in terms of quality however seems like everyone loves the R8.
Plus 3 years warranty
65R8 is Quantum Dot tech plus it supports Dolby Vision
So better than the NU8000?
NU8000 is last year model. I would say yes.
@mirovich: Sorry I meant the RU, I’m stupid
@Slut: Yea, 65R8 is def better on paper, especially if you watch Dolby Vision contents.
FYI NU8000 scored better than RUN8000 on rtings.com

For some reason, Samsung lowered the brightness of Series 7 and 8 this year, maybe to make QLED look better/brighter?@mirovich: You’re the best. Thank you!
Just when I think it's time to upgrade my TV to a 65inch 4K another deal comes along and more and more frequently lately.
Whatever I buy today will be a lot cheaper next month or there will be better technology?
This seems to happening on a monthly basis lately when it used to take at least a year.
When do I buy?
Cheaper sets are getting cheaper. It's just the way it's going currently. High end sets aren't getting too low.
When you see a good deal on OLED / Quantum Dot
I'm thinking this too but lose that focus when I see a lot cheaper TVs. I'm trying to resist as I'll be salivating at OLED's after only week with anything less.
Wait for the Black Friday deals.
Cheaper elsewhere.
Where?
$1392 plus delivery from VideoPro eBay with 20% off code.
Three prices above this comment have it cheaper. How did you miss them?
Appliance central has no love for regional areas. Mine shows $240 Delivery and I'm just 30 minutes from Newcastle.
Bought a RU8000 just then. Will let people know how it goes
