Xbox Live Gold 12 Months $43.80 via 4x 3-Month Renewal for $10.95 @ Microsoft (Membership Required)

760

I found this while looking at ways to add some extra time onto my Xbox Live Gold subscription. It's a bit of a hack so bear with me. I also did this while using a private/incognito window in my browser, you may want to do the same so a cookie isn't set that may break the process.

Edit: it appears that if you’ve already upgraded to GamePass Ultimate this won’t work for you. It only works with standard Live Gold accounts.

Edit 2: I see the deal has been marked 'Targeted' per a lot of comments below. I definitely didn't receive an email or notification in the Xbox interface with an offer, I simply found it while browsing the Microsoft store online. So, I cannot confirm it's targeted or not.

  1. Visit www.xbox.com.au and log into your account.
  2. Navigate to Game Pass -> Xbox Live Gold.
  3. Click the button 'Gift Xbox Live Gold'.
  4. This will open a new tab which shows your remaining current subscription. If it doesn't show the current one reload the page and it should appear then. (You need to ensure the page knows you're logged in.)
  5. Click on the dropdown box and select 3 Months. The price displayed should change to $10.95.
  6. Click the 'Extend' button to complete the purchase and agree to signing up for a 3-month recurring subscription, with the next charge due the day after your time expires.
  7. Click the green 'Manage' button and this will take you to your Microsoft account.
  8. Locate the Xbox Live Gold section and click the link to 'Manage' beside your subscription.
  9. At the 'Has recurring billing' section click 'Change' and select 'Turn off recurring billing', then confirm the cancellation.
  10. Now log out of your Microsoft account. Close and reopen your browser and start from Step 1 again. Repeat as often as you like.

I don't know if there's a cap on how much you can purchase, I stopped at 1 year only because my PayPal account had run dry. Also, if you already have recurring billing turned on for your Xbox Live Gold account you may will need to turn it off first before starting.

Once you've loaded up with Gold time, ensure you also stack it with the $2 Game Pass Ultimate deal, if you haven't already taken that up.

    • Heh. You're welcome! Honestly, it's not hard to avoid paying full price but I think MS relies on the chumps who don't pay attention or are just too slack to bother changing anything. I've been a Live Gold member since the 360 was launched, with an 18-month hiatus in the middle, and I've never paid full price for a year's sub.

  • Still works

    • Sadly I'm unable to get this to work. Tested onmultiple browsers, IP's (home/work/mobile). Shows $29.95/3 Months for me.

  • Thanks OP! Did this 11 times and then had an offer for Ultimate of $1 for 3 months.

$121.45 for 36 months of Ultimate

  • The only offer I could get was AU$79.95/year so I got 2 years worth. With the $1 game pass upgrade, not a bad deal at all.

  • I just did it on my iPhone. 5 times @ $10.95. Takes me till 06/2121 !! Thanks!

  • Getting $29.95 for 3 months now.

  • +1

    Works Perfectly for me.

Extended Gold until November'22 and upgraded to Ultimate for $1,
Enough time till it's ready to move on to Next Gen console.

Now the problem is finding time to actually play the games. lol.

    Thanks OP!

      • Same here 🤣🤣

  • Thanks OP .Just got mine until the 11 Sep 2022 then $1 for 3 months of unlimited so new expire 11 Dec 2022.

    Works like magic.

  • Is it possible to do this if you already have Game Pass Ultimate $1 deal?

Sorry saw that it isnt, disregard.

  • Thanks OP, great deal. Somehow managed to get the subscription all the way out to November 2023 with the $1 Ultimate conversion applied.

  • Has anyone confirmed if those who can get it for $10.95 can also gift it for $10.95? Would not mind buying a few off someone + some compensation for their trouble.

  • Doesn't seem to be working anymore :(

  • This still working for anyone?

    • The last reports are that it’s no longer working. Have you tried it? If so, any luck?

  • Doesn't work for me, must only be fore targeted people.
