where is the cheapest place to do wii modify in sydney?

hi ozbargainer,

i have wii and need to modify so i can use the external drive and play more games. anyone one cheap place in sydney can do this? Thanks

You mean to SoftMod it (which is the best way)?

I don't think that there is any "commercial" company that does it.

Are you technically "savvy"?

A soft-modded Wii needs a bit of continual "involvement" from the owner. You need to unerstand how it works, keep the loader software and other stuff up to date. Also you need to be able to install and "select" different IOS (like an operating system) as required to get games working (different games use different software (internally)

So, you are better to learn it yourself and then maintain the machine yourself.

The modifications are easy, and the only hassle is that there are quite a few steps to install. It takes maybe 20-30 minutes. You just have to be the type of person who can follow instructions to the letter.
