TM Lewin - Sizing, Returns, Customer Service

Just ordered my first TM Lewin shirts, a pack of 3 which arrived last week.

Collar Size: 16.5 in
Sleeve Length: 91 cm / 36 in
Any Shirt or Tie $30

Compared to Charles Tyrwhitt, the material seems nicer and much better packaging …

Problem, I ordered a 16.5" collar, 91cm sleeve length as that's what I've previously ordered from CT … I can't do up the top button and the sleeves are far too short …

Checked their web site and it advises 16.5 - 17" for the collar sizing and confirmed that 91cm is the longest sleeve they have …

Measured my neck and it hasn't grown recently, 16.5" is a good fit …

Talking to their returns area and they aren't very clear and seem to be pushing the blame onto me for ordering the wrong size …

Has anyone else had similar experience? It won't be a problem, I'll harass them to get my way, just wanted to see if it's a common thing?! (oh, they're also implying that I pay for postage, which I'm happy to do if it's my mistake)

    If the sleeves aren’t too bad, you can also consider getting a collar extender. I do this often because my weight fluctuates.

      I measured my neck, my neck with a seamstress tape thing would give me plenty of room to breathe at 16.5"

    The return section of the website is very hazy on details.

    They have a 30 day return policy, which includes change of mind. You need to take the item into a store (not myer concession). You can also post the item to a store. The store will mail the item back (or keep it for resale). The refund takes a few days to show up on your card.

      I was mostly concerned because their "customer service" seems to just repeat the line "if you get your measurements done in store, you can order the correct size next time", that leads me to think that their sizing is too small, but they'll refuse to accept any responsibility for it

    My experience with TM Lewin is very similar to the first half of your experience.
    The sizing seems to run a bit smaller than CT shirts.
    However I went to a physical store and they were very helpful and happy to find me the right sizes and process an exchange to the correct sizing. The only downside is that it seems the online store and brick-and-mortar stores are run separately and as such the process for exchange is for the store to send my shirts back to the UK for exchange and then the shirts are then posted from the UK back to me.

    did you try return to the stores? some brands allow this.

      based in Adelaide, our only store is a Myer one which doesn't accept returns or exchanges
