Chills is the only chip i buy from Kettle's

  • Love these. I haven’t had them for over two years. It brings my heartburn back if I do.

  • +1

I tried the Thins Hot and Spicy. Wasn’t even spicy. The Kettle ones are way better.

    • I just tried the Thins H&S you wouldn't even be able to tell it's meant to be hot if it weren't for packaging

1/2 price Chilli Chips, and Vanilla Connoisseur Ice Cream!!

What a week to be alive! Thanks Woolies.

    • 1/2 price deals have been rolling in a lot, back to back lately?

  • +1

These used to be amazing back in the day.. Then they changed the formula

  • +2

Danger. Thanks OP, will most likely buy another 5-10 packs that will last me till the next $2.25 deal (which will be in a few weeks)

  • +2

I agree the Chilli is the best but the special edition Thai Chilli & Lime is not bad.

I really like this one! My wife doesn't so I buy this to have it for myself.

Haven't tried it myself but if you're on Sydney CBD, Double Bay and Mona Vale. You can use Woolworths Scan & Go app in-store for an extra 25% off on top.

    Junk food promotes every week.

Have you guys tried the Aldi Chilli chips? Soooo much nicer than the Kettle ones.

    • How much do they cost?

      • From memory $2.35. Not sure if it's changed

        • I went today and couldn't find any chilli chips, they had every other flavour though

          • @FareEvader: Perhaps temporarily no stock? Though there's usually no shortage of them at my local.

For anyone else interested in Aldi chips, from memory, these should be what they have:

            Sprinters
Closest equivalent to Smiths, Thins etc. They're $2 for 230 grams but it used to be 250 grams only a couple of weeks before. Don't quite like the sneaky drop in weight. For comparison, Smith Crinkle cut are 170g, Smith Thinly Cut are 175g, and Thins are 175g. These are my go to largely because of the value. But I'll go for Smiths when they do their rotational $1.64 sale.

            • Original (Crinkle cut and thin cut)
            • Salt & Vinegar (Crinkle cut)
            • Chicken (Crinkle cut)
            • Barbeque (Crinkle cut)
            • Sour Cream and Chives (Thin cut)
            • Cheese & Onion (Crinkle cut)

There are/were some limited edition ones. These are also $2, but only 175 grams. Smiths Limited edition are usually 150g.

            • Honey BBQ Rip (Crinkle cut)
            • Flame Grilled Steak (Thin cut)

            Blackstone
These are the Deli style chips so they're the closest equivalent to Kettle and Red Rock Deli etc. $2.29 for 200 grams. I feel like they're a bit thinner than Kettle or Red Rock but the flavour is definitely up there. They have sweet potato stuff to

            • Sea Salt
            • Honey Soy Chicken
            • Chilli
            • Cheddar and Caramelised Onion
            • Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar
            • Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream
            • Rosemary and Garlic
            • Thai Chilli & Lime (I think this is a limited edition version)
            • Lamb & Mint (Limited edition)

There are Grain Wave-like chips, sweet potato, and corn chip stuff too but I'm not familiar with them.

  • kettle chips are the best!

    • Red rock deli > Kettle / Thins > Smiths

  • This is so yum but not keto friendly

    • +3

“Keto” is a useless diet fad, and if you’re trying to lose weight, you probably want to avoid potato chips (or anything else that comes packaged in plastic) anyway.

      • ikr

      • If you want to lose weight you should avoid carb in general

        • If you want to lose weight, have a balance of foods according to nutritional guidelines (including some carbs), avoid anything processed other than sauces and condiments, control portions, and exercise.

It’s hard to sell a “fad” diet on these principles, since they’re such common-sense, but it works (I managed to go from obese to a healthy BMI, losing 35kg, a decade ago. I just followed sensible advice and steered clear of hot fad diets).

    • Then go for a Walk, man.

  • Tempting but just bought a box of 12 packs from Amazon last week ($2.1 a pack)

  • Try these and vanilla ice cream together, Thank me later.

  • I just ate a whole bag of the chilli flavour. I feel like a total fat ass
