Package Deals to India

Hi, can anyone recommend a good package deal (preferably including flights from Sydney) to India for 2020? I have seen a few through TripaDeal and Iknowthepilot but really have no idea what's good. Also is there any time of the year NOT to go? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

India is a pretty big country. Did you have specific areas or sights or activities of interest?
    Duration?
    Adults only?

  • Please specify your gender frist.
Based on your answer, they are different options.

        See Op's answer at below.

  • This is for a couple (1 male & 1 female) in our 60s/70s, and we are open to any suggestions on where to go. Probably looking at 10-14 days. Thanks.

Definitely stick to an organised tour.
As I said earlier, India is a large and diverse country. Unless you have done your research and know what you want to see / experience, just let someone else to that for you to see some of the highlights.

Check out Wendy Wu. Not sure if they do India but they did a top job with our China tour this year. As for tripadeal, well, let's just say we crossed paths with a couple of tripadeal tours and I'm not saying I'm royalty or anything but I liked our tour group much better. :) WW also included all of our meals, internal transports and a dedicated guide so we always knew what was going on.

    Edit: Here you go.

can vouch for both Wu and Tripa.
But their target audience is different - a Wu tour will perhaps be 2-3x more expensive than a Tripa.
Now it comes down to your budget, whether you want premium, need 3 meals a day supplied, etc.
You need to look at the inclusions of both to see what fits you.

We are in our 70s, used Gate1travel 6 times for different tours. We did Sacred Southern India tour 14 days with them 2 years ago. Currently there is a Sale on. We went in Feb 2017, weather in low thirties.

Have you thought of booking your own flights, and hiring a driver and guide in India. We did this and it was great value and we had the luxury of not being part of a group. The only downside was our driver was over caring was like having mum taking care of you. You also if you enjoy it have the fun of planning your own trip so you get to see what you want, and the guide always made sure we got to places we wanted to see at a time when the crowds were not as big. We are pensioners on a budget and in spite of being a bit trepidatious of doing this trip really enjoyed India and looking forward to returning.
