BingLee has had a price drop on the Miele Classic Powerline C1 to $199, which is great in itself.
With current Ebay Plus code PEACHY15 it comes down to $169.15 delivered.

Power cords are so 2017.
The main question is how long will it last? Had a cheapo Volta which is not the best sucker out there but it still works!
So does mine but it doesnt suck nearly well enough. Looking to replace it. I used to have a decent Wertheim, but this looks alright.
Miele vacuum cleaners also feel a whole lot better than the cheapo ones
It's like going from Daewoo Matiz to a Mercedes C63 AMG!
Thanks! Definitely switching to Miele, as my Dyson is starting to die. Cords > batteries.
I bought mine in 2017, still going strong definitely value for money at this price.
Why doesn't Bing Lee's website say anything about where it was made (ie whether this model is made in Germany or not)?
There is a big icon in the corner of the description section, saying "Made in Germany".
Not on my phone unfortunately; they should really put that info as text in the description so that it's mobile-friendly. But thanks for the heads up!
Is this better than kmarts 50$ vacuum?
I'd be interested to know also, though in my experience Miele vacuums blow everything else well out of the water (including those around the $1000 mark).
My Miele makes a joke out of my Dyson, not even a remote comparison.
don't you mean suck everything out of the water
kmart one is no match for this one.. IMHO even Dyson isn’t
Kmart is 2000w and this is 900w though. Although i did read the motor inside the kmart is 500w
So it’s 1500w for the noise?

This vacuum sucks! After years of cordless and bagless BS went with this on a recommendation off Ozbargin and haven't looked back.
It SUCKS with consistency!
Replacement bags are cheap on Ebay.
Indeed, people who buy Dysons and similar machines are morons.
totally agreed.
Godfreys is selling this for $350. The markup added by some Aussie retailers verges on price gouging.
to be fair, most places were selling this for $299 last week, when I last checked, including Bing Lee.
Plus I think godfreys usually sell the chinese versions of Miele and not the German ones.
Just add a turbo head if you have carpets and you're set. I bought a Miele 5 years ago and haven't looked back. Dyson can suck it, as can any bagless vac.
Any idea how the Chinese copies compare to genuine Miele turbo head?
Is it required or a recommendation for carpet?
I've had an S5 for over 10 years. Have had no problem on carpets with the standard head but recently got a cheap rug that hair and fluff sticks to like velcro, if I can get away with a $40 knock off turbo head then I'd be happy to give it a go.
I'd say try without and see how you go.
For those who have one, how does it go sucking up chunks like popcorn, bread crusts & wet stuff like milk, corn flakes, etc ?
Really bad idea to vacuum anything wet with a normal vacuum cleaner. The dust sticks on the wet in the hose and turns to mud. Really hard to get out.
I know I've done it
Does this have a telescopic wand where you can adjust the height?
Is this the one everyone raves about or is that the dog and cat one?
