Are Huawei SD cards good and reliable? They are quite cheap compared to sandisk and samsung. For instance 256gb U3 is available from $16 on ebay posted from Hongkong or China.
Also, my phones external sdcard listed as maximum 256gb capacity but is it possible to use higher gb cards in it 512gb or even 1tb? Just curious what will happen if I use 512gb in phone and if it doesn't work to full capacity then at least I can still use it in camera and pc.

I just want them for my camera and transfer photos to computer same evening. So even if they are fake and fail it wouldn't be a great loss. And to keep games and apps in phone which can be downloaded again in case of failure, to keep internal memory free?
Fake as in not having the advertised capacity. That $16 one could only be 16GB for all we know.

Just buy a genuine SanDisk/ Samsung. Any cost saving will be forgotten once you have to replace it.
You are right but I had SanDisk failed on me as well before and unfortunately I didn't back it up. Therefore started to look at other brands. Now I've made it a routine to backup all work same day, learned hard way.

This post is serious and no joke. Why ebay has them on sponsored and not removing if it is well known widespread scam. Once confirmed here I'm gonna report that account to ebay management and send the link to Huawei. Because there are many who don't educate themselves and fall prey to online scams.
@SuperLate: Everyone should know that it is a bad idea to buy any SD cards on ebay (99% will be fakes), and they should test every single one they buy that isn't at a well established shop like good guys or jb hi fi etc with H2testw. Step by step instructions here
