Does anyone have a good (and hopefully economical) source for 16650 batteries (these can replace cr123 x 2 in devices)? Banggood are out of stock at the moment and everyone else I found is a total ripoff.
cheers

Sadly a 18650 won't fit into the torch, hence the need for 16650 (which are a bit slimmer) Most of the batteries on ebay (especially those from China) are fake (see candlepower forum tests) so was hoping for reputable brands (like the ones Banggood had)
What torch is it? Maybe just buy a set of 16340s?
It's a IR850 that came with a night vision scope. Everything I've read about 16340's says they drain very quickly and have limited output. I have a few old 16650's and the torch seems to digest them fine but will need some replacements at some point.
Hey mate generally a 18650 will be the right size to replace two CR123/16340. The only issue is that the voltage will be lower but capacity will be higher. Two Cr123s have a voltage of about 6v, Two 16340s also called RCR123s will have a voltage of around 8v a single 18650 will only be 4.2v at full charge.
