KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Lifetime Subscription - $30 @ ZDNetAcademy

VPNSAVINGS

Hi guys,

I've found this good deal and I'd like to share with you. This VPN doesn't allow P2P using an Australia server, but you can change for another one that allows P2P like in France or Canada. It's a good deal for a lifetime subscription. Enjoy

Located in the US (hello NSA) and their speeds seem to get pretty bad reviews (ranked 50th out of 78 VPN's). Here is one review. The speed comment is consistent across all independent reviews i read. But for $30 for life you might not care…

    • Lifetime meaning the life of the service, which based on reviews will be 2 years or so from today.

  • Any reviews? How is the speed and connection?

    • See above. It's crap.

  • I've had this for about 3 years now, so the lifetime part seems to be truthful.

The app is also top notch too, I'd say it's one of the best VPN apps I've used.

Although that's all the good that comes from this. You only have 2 servers which you can DL torrents from, 1 in US and 1 in Europe so they are pretty slow. Overall any connection is pretty basic.

They do store your data for a period of time too.

Overall I generally have this now as a backup VPN, as when I purchased it it was $15 for life, and the lifetime part seems to be true at least

Wow. Literally one of the main reasons people go with a VPN provider. What a joke.

It's Actually $20 USD with the coupon.

      • Wow, you are right. That's more than 15% off. I wonder if that coupon applies to any of their other lifetime VPNs.

IvacyVPN or FastestVPN are way better. Keepsolid VPN I would not trust, being US based.

Edit: Code doesn't work for Ivacy or Fastest. Bummer.

        • Have u tried ivacy or fastest??
I used to have ivacy and it was very very slow

          • @kisshell9: Yes. I have lifetime subs to IvacyVPN, FastestVPN, Windscribe, SaferVPN and ZoogVPN.

I use them for different purposes. Netflix (Ivacy, Windscribe, Zoog) , Amazon Prime Video (Ivacy) P2P (Fastest, SaferVPN) etc.

If one fails, there's always a backup option. Lifetime subs are the way to go for bang for buck. Just make sure the jurisdiction is appropriate for the purpose. ie: stay away from US and Aus based vpns.

  • Just FYI for everyone, all servers (at least for OpenVPN) are on UDP 1194 (standard OVPN port). This means that if you are in a filtered network where you can only access websites (via HTTP and HTTPS), you won't be able to connect.

I just got off live chat with "support" and asked if they have any OpenVPN servers that are listening on TCP 443, as that's pretty standard for ("stealth") VPN usage, and the reply I got was "HTTP is not supported, only L2TP and OpenVPN" (not even sure what that means).

So, I just deleted my account. YMMV.

  • It's $20 with the coupon, thanks! I've been using this for almost 3 years (my previous account was 3 years) — and I'm not going to purchase any other VPN account without a lifetime subscription.
