Gshopper are closely working with Oneplus and try to become the official distributor in Australia.
So for people who are not familiar with OnePlus phones, there are 2 versions.
First is CN version + flashing ROM version, which means no GST, no local warranty which you can buy it from Ebay, Aliexpress etc.
Second one is Global version and still no local warranty but much expensive price
I understand for most of people who buy Oneplus don't really mind the CN version with flashed OOS and even can flash the ROM by themself.
So I would like to know some deep thoughts from everyone, If we are bring the device into Australia, with GST invoice, local warranty and of couse Global Version(No AU adapter, it will be either US/EU adapter for now).
How much more is reasonable/acceptable for you to pay to get the extra service.

thank you for your feedback, could you kindly share the Whirlpool thread.
and just for your knowledge, the cost price difference between Global and CN version is around $200 AUD. And it is not included local warranty.Thank you. it is interested to read through all those questions.
Once the Chinese version is flashed does it just update as per normal? If so that would be the way to go.
Well, i had a OP3 before, it is showing root ROM everytime you reboot your device.
Then i got OP6T from EBay and it is grey import CN+flash ROM, It updates all by itselfSounds pretty decent. If it's a 'one and done' type thing and it updates by itself that would be perfect. Could be good timing with the OnePlus 7T already looking not too far away.
so if I understand correctly, you would go for the gray import version, and not worry about the local warranty. Right?
@FlyingPanda99: If it was significantly cheaper, yeah!
@AdamFury: around 200-250 difference depend on which model
@FlyingPanda99: In that case, absolutely.
@AdamFury: thank you
I bought the OP5 from the OP site when it launched in Australia in 2017.
If the price difference was >$100 (GST included) then I'd be happy to take the Chinese version and flash the English OOS on it. It's not a difficult thing to do.
From the Whirlpool thread about the OP7, looks like the Chinese version doesn't work with Telstra SIMs. Something to think about as well.
