Looks like a good deal, bit cheaper than Bunnings, can probably get them to price beat for an even better deal. I'll certainly be stocking up for summer, it's been my go to for meat smoking for a while.
Briquettes a bit easier to build snakes with though. Any recommendations for lump charcoal?
Depends on the type of smoker, I have a ProQ bullet smoker and I only use briquettes and snake them.
Primo, Green Egg and Kamado Joe is all the same stuff made by Royal Charcoal in the US. It's the best by far about $55 per bag.
I've found Gidgee best for long and hot. Mallee root is good also. If you can find a local supplier that had these it works out cheaper per KG.

These are OK but lump charcoal tastes a lot better.
Lump for flavour, briquettes for convenience…both are better than gas. Robot turds are generally a happy compromise but can take a while to light.
Only ever use lump charcoal.
