Did anyone ask? Just saying, this is not OzKnowledgeBase.

Any suggestions for a better windows mail program? Still using Microsoft Live Mail and am sick of it downloading the same email 4-5 times.
I recommend Em-Client (clunky name, but whatever).
It's free for up to two email addresses, for personal use, and looks very polished.
Go to their site for the download, enter your name/email, and download. No, they don't spam you— it's so if you ever forget, you can get your licence key from them.
Once you have the download started, go to the bottom of the page and get the free license. It shows in the pop-up window, which I copy & paste to a text file, right then. It's also emailed to you.
Install Em-Client & let it launch once you fill your email/password. Go to Menu>help>license. Insert the key & hit okay. It'll warn you have 29 days left of pro version, say okay. The "demo" mode will turn to "free".
*One odd thing— it doesn't create a desktop icon. Go to programs (x86)>Em-client>scroll to mail launcher (orange icon)>right-click & either send/shortcut to desktop or pin to taskbar.

Thanks GoM! I'll check it out
Followed your instructions and everything works. A much better upgrade from gammon windows live mail.
Thanks jeffr,
Gotta love when providers up & decide to either change their server or port for no apparent reason.
Cheers
Whats wrong with Gmail Web client? Its far superior than fat client for most cases.
Thanks for sharing on OzBargain Jeff.
