          Anecdotes aren't research or evidence.

That same article says that it erodes enamel if you're in to that kind of thing

        • +1

It says - the research on this is still inconclusive.
          And it's $7 a jar.

In a 2017 review, researchers concluded there was not enough laboratory or clinical data to determine the safety or effectiveness of activated charcoal for teeth whitening or oral health.

A single person's story and they can't even get the white balance/brightness consistent across the before/after photos. The charcoal seems to have also whitened their face to a similar extent that it whitened their teeth.

        Money back guaranteed

      • I wouldn't be "that" amazed. Normal toothpaste "whitens" them as well, by getting rid of the gunk.

I think it could be possible that ACTIVATED carbon whitens teeth more than normal toothpaste, as it adsorbs a lot of things.

    • Yes. Look at OP's profile pic

It whitens your teeth, but it also (profanity) them up.

You can have white teeth today and no teeth later :P

Next one would be Melania wife of Justin Trudeau…….

          • @pyramid: They deleted it. But goes to show how easy that’s faked and I bet most are fake reviews. They all use proper sentences which never happens in real reviews too.

For those who believe in charcoal, there is a Colgate toothpaste the DOES still contain the proven teeth care additives; but has a strip of charcoal paste along with it.

I find it gives a VERY thorough clean, but my gums do feel a little raw from the abrasion.

Its a once a week thing for me.

  • 30g of charcoal or activated charcoal for "teeth whitening" are as low as $8 from other places. No discernible difference between them or their supposed benefits.

  • I rather use whitening toothpaste which has proven research. Works great, way cheaper and gives you minty breath. Also excessive brushing in addition with charcoal would definitely erode your enamel.
