Is it worth contacting small claims
Depends. Is it a major defect on the mattress itself, or
every morning wake up with back ache
Did you simply choose the wrong product that didn't suit you (i.e. change of mind)?
And have you contact Myer and what did they say?My mom had a similar problem every morning. I bought this one recently with eBay 20% offers to replace my existing one which has become too soft over 3 years.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KING-Mattress-Super-Firm-Mattres….She was very much satisfied with this mattress and no longer has the pain in the morning.. There are other options offered by this zzz atelier seller. No harm in trying , given the low cost.
Talk to Myer. Ask for a manager. If that doesn't work contact the manufacturer.
There's not enough info in your OP.
a) Are you suggesting the product is defective
or
b) Are you suggesting it was the wrong product choice i.e. it's too soft a mattress to suit your body type? This is fairly important to distinguish.
Small claims is a fairly drastic first step.
If situation (a)
1) Contact Myer, explain you think it's defective. Most mattresses have a warranty that allows for certain conditions. e.g. if there's permanent droop beyond 2cm then you may have a claim.
If situation (b)
1) Do you think you were mislead by the sales person? Contact Myer, see what your options are from them. They might be able to arrange a discount or something on a different product but you're probably out of luck. Poor product choice is on you, not Myer. Especially after 6 months.
I am now sleeping on couch newly married.
Are you sure mattress is the reason??
Not sure about anyone else, but the harder the bed the better for my back …
What's the frame that you're using it on? I have a memory foam mattress and had to put wood on top of the frame slats because it was too soft
$5000 for a mattress? wtf
have you also been married for 6 months….? :|
Thanks everyone we have put wood on top of frame now slightly better
Have you contacted Myers about your issue?
We bought a $2000 sleep maker king mattress from Domayne and after a year it felt too soft, we have since had the mattress collected by the manufacture, and tweaked to our liking on more than one occasion
