    what about with Philips hue hub
    
    maybe it's better I just change my 3-gang switch to a Nue switch so I can control the downlights?

      The Nue Switches are compatible with Philips Hue Bridge, they work with normal downlights, an economical way to upgrade to smart lighting control.
