there is a minimum spend of $20
and it says Your loyalty credit:
$2.50 this order; $2.50 total; 6 orders to goi dont know wt it means
I am very glad to see menulog being upfront about the expiry date on this voucher.
What are the conditions on this voucher?
Based on previous vouchers, I'm guessing:
1. Only valid at restaurants that have VA (Vouchers Accepted) next to their name in tiny red letters.
2. Is it only for new menulog customers, or can anyone use it?Nice..just ordered some Indian for dinner.
Cheers!
Seems to be valid for everybody. Min order $20 though.
I was also charged a $2.50 credit card surcharge. (You must pay with a credit card if you are using a voucher)
I think credit card surcharges are charged by the restaurant rather than Menulog, and can vary — click "view conditions" under payment types to see the surcharge (if any) for the particular restaurant.
Beware that prices on Menulog may not be accurate, and that there may be unmentioned credit card surcharges for orders as well.
I used to be a fairly frequent user of Menulog, but I completely lost confidence in their service ever since I was overcharged $12 by a restaurant (i.e. I was charged $12 more on my credit card than what the Menulog checkout and email receipt indicated).
When I rang the restaurant to complain they claimed that the prices on Menulog were out of date and that I also needed to pay a credit card surcharge that was not mentioned anywhere on their Menulog menu. Menulog ignored my email about the issue, and also deleted my review of the restaurant in question. They also ignored my comment last time one of their reps posted on OzBargain: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/41482#comment-417425
hmm.. might give it a miss then.. damn was looking forward to that lamb korma :/
Although IIRC I was able to pay cash when using vouchers the last/first time I used menulog (circa '08)Well, don't let me discourage you too much from ordering that lamb korma! :)
The chances of you being overcharged are probably very low, but I think my experience was worth mentioning because if something does go wrong with an order don't expect much support from Menulog.
I'm not sure if selecting cash payment would resolve the problem if a restaurant overcharges — there probably would be a dispute over the amount when the delivery person asks for payment at your door.
Thanks grabbed some Chinese :)
