Hey everyone! I've recently started a new job and I am learning everything about property management and everything about real estate.
My main tasks include listing adverts on facebook and other related tasks during the day. I'm also only 16 and consider myself to have some decent life experience for my age. So go ahead and ask me anything!

I list properties on the back end and post the houses onto reiwa and realestate.com. Scanning and making files digital, getting ready for the home opens on the weekend and doing reception tasks like answering the phone, organizing meetings etc.
Yes I plan on purchasing my first home as soon I turn 18.
I get to drive the company car when I get my license, sometimes free products from clients or free food from clients and also when I purchase my first home I'll be getting a good deal:)
what area will you buy in?
Dalkeith or nothing. Should be pretty easy with mate’s rates, despite working part time.
Hammond Park/Atwell.
"…when I purchase my first home I'll be getting a good deal:)"
Elaborate on this.
I'll know how to not get scammed and how to negotiate offers really well. All part of my training :)
This may to too late at night for an AMA on Ozbargain, forums are most active in the day when people are 'working' lol.
That's my experience at least.
I think I'm a little cynical when a teenager suggests they have 'decent life experience'… it's a feeling many adults can relate to when they were teenagers, only to understand how naive they were (as teenagers) once adult life is experienced.
What are your longterm goals with Real-Estate? do you want to form a career from this?
Yes as soon as I gain my real estate license I will become a sales rep. I'll plan on focusing on one or two suburbs and becoming "the best" in those suburbs.
Just be careful of the high power sales strategy. You have the potential to be brain washed at the end of the day always make sure decisions are also in your best benefit. Make sure you get an education behind you and if the company doesn't let you have time make time. If there was something I could tell 16yo self to do it would certainly be education and savings.
I'm currently doing home school at night and finishing school. Saving heaps of money at the same time. I think it's a win-win
Just so we can have an image of your "experience" - how long have you been working in real estate related jobs, including this one?
4 months or there abouts. I did work experience for a while and almost a month of 4 days a week.
It's a shame you have chosen a career that is despised by many.
Maybe consider politics or car sales next?
I'm very interested and active in state politics and also considered car sales lol…
"I'm also only 16 and consider myself to have some decent life experience for my age."
So very humble….
Have you ever met a humble 16 year old?
What is your hourly rate?
And the multiplier they charge clients?
I'm not sure of the multipllier sorry.
I'm on salary but it works out of be around $14 an hour which is above minimum wage but not as good as a adults wage.
Is this a full time job or part time while you are still at school?
Part time 4 days a week.
Home school/online school at night
TAFE on Fridays
My other job on the weekendsWhat year do you need to be in to be able to do online/home school?
Good for you mate, keep on keeping on but don't overdo it either. Balance is one of the keys in life but you should be proud that you are out there having a go instead of being zombified behind a screen like most 16 years olds seem to be these days. :)
Thank you very much :)
What will you say to your employer in the instance they tell you to refuse return of a bond to a tenant, despite there being absolutely no cleaning required nor damage?
The answer to this question will determine the pathway for your career.
I will challenge him because it is incorrect and wrong. We have a policy that includes wear and tear and minor damage etc. So he would list likely never ask but either way I would still challenge it.
Do you photoshop images of houses to make them look prettier or bigger?
Nope usually we either stage the houses to look better and use professional photographers which edit and increase this and That to make them look as nice as possible.
What are your future plans regarding study? Will you complete your WACE or are you planning to just leave it?
I'll complete my WACE.
What are the "other related tasks"
Do you want to buy and sell Property?
Any Perks?
