The laptop I have now is a Lenovo yoga with quad core and tiny ram the laptop can't even handle one tab of chrome and Minecraft open at the same time. I want to go more towards gaming which is currently hard to do. but use it for casual hobby graphic design as well(although I do have a portable hard drive for my projects to save the storage). Won't really be taking it anywhere often
Acer Nitro 5 Gaming laptop $1279.20 @ Bing Lee
Noteworthy is the 144hz gaming grade display. Updated specs on the Bing Lee site: apparently it's 60hz display, still good value though.
I am not 100% sure on store brought laptops although if I was to buy a laptop (I would be using it for gaming and photoshop) I would get it from Metabox
I have only heard good things from them, and you can customize the laptop to be exactly what you need. Works out cheaper sometimes if you want to do things like, dont include any ssd, and install one yourself.
When I last emailed Metabox they said you can add your own internal storage without voiding warranty, so that might be good if you keep filling your laptop storage up. (dont take my word for it, please contact them first)
OP, have you looked into whether the Lenovo Yoga has the ability to upgrade the ram?
You should probably try and add more information, such as what you use it for.
Do you play games on it?
Is it just to watch youtube videos?
Will you be moving it around with you alot?
Are you using it to run a server?
Have you got a laptop currently and what is the issue with it right now? (too slow? not enough storage? nothing but looking for something new?)
