For a TV that's only been out for a few months, this is an amazing price (RRP is $5799)! Close to what the previous model KD75X9000F was selling for towards it's end of life.

You should be able to get a 12 month Kayo basic sports subscription too.

If you're not in Sydney but have a physical Bing Lee store near you, I believe you can contact them and they'll arrange delivery to your store.

Just got two around $3850 each. Amazing price.

Kayo came around a week on both.

  • Is it better to get this in 75 inch or a 65 inch OLED?

Only been asked a million times but I was tossing it up too. Frankly as I had 75 already I couldn't go smaller. Viewing distance is the biggest factor. Lighting and the like play a role, but if you sit further back the answer's a no brainer imo. I'm around 4.5m back on one and around 3m on the other. Any less you'd probably be ok with 65.

      • I held off on getting the LG OLED 65 inch that was around the same price and I'm semi regretting it but I've always tried to get Sony products so I'm leaning towards this TV and it's 75 inches!

Thanks I'll think I will get this TV as I sit about 4 metres back.

        • Yeah you won't be disappointed. The fancy processor allowed me to sell one of my Nvidia Shields too. It's a stunning TV, only comparable non OLED 4k is the Samsung Q90 and that's the best part of double the price… And in many reviews the Sony is better in different aspects too.

Turning off the light sensor really amazes how bright it can be, not that I'd advise it.

  • Is it worth paying the extra $1,405.09 for the 3yr breakdown cover? I know I should get extended warranty on a purchase like this but at 1.4k more I think that's a bit of rip-off.

Jb offered 5 years for me for $150… I still said no as legally you are covered anyway.

Also have Home and Contents Insurance to back you up…

Na, you're covered by ACL for like 8 years+ (https://www.choice.com.au/shopping/consumer-rights-and-advic…)

      • Bookmarked for future use. Thanks for sharing :)

        • There's a case law/ruling (or whatever it's called) I've seen linked on here before too (but haven't been able to find it again) where they were able to claim the 8 years under Australian Consumer Law

    No brainer here people.
    I've got last year's -paid 4k and it's a fantastic tv.

  • This or 75X9400E?

    • Can you even buy those anymore? Screens are somewhat comparable, OS/chipset is much better with this.

  • how does it compare with samsung Q60 series QLED>?

    • Much better due to the full array local dimming, etc. It's more comparable to a Q75 upwards (i.e. holds up well against a Q90 too: https://youtu.be/HTaeZ70mzIk)
