[eBay Plus] AOC CQ32G1 31.5in QHD 1ms 144hz Narrow Bezel FreeSync VA Curved Monitor $415.65 Delivered @ Wireless1 eBay

130
PANTHER

Original Coupon Deal I've been looking at monitors to buy and I stumbled upon this. I would have bought it but it's a bit to big for my setup. It seems like a really good deal for the price as your getting a 1440p, 144hz and 1ms response time and it's not a TN panel.

Now if only they had a one of these as a 27inch for a similar price…

  • This or the kogan 27" posted the other day? im feeling this would be better.

    • I don't know about curved monitors but A 27" would be better imo.

Overall this is a better monitor. The only reason I don't want to buy it is that it's to big for my current setup.

    • Hi mate, replying as I was in the exact same boat a few weeks ago. Ended up choosing the Kogan 27 curved over this or the LG one with same specs. The Kogan is great, the curve is no where near prominent as the photos suggest. Really crisp, only downside is you can't adjust height. At the end of the day, I can't imagine having bigger than the 27, its huge.

  • That's a good deal. :)

  • I'm in the same boat searching for a 27inch. The MSI MAG271CQR for $599 less 15% ($509.15) from Computer Alliance is somewhat tempting.

    • Yeah I was looking at that one to. Honestly the Kogan https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-27-curved-qhd-144hz-frees… seems like it's pretty good value though so I can't make up my mind as it's a rebranded viotek gn27db which alot of people seem to like. The only downside to the kogan is the response time. Though I don't know how much of a difference there is with response times so it might just not matter.

      • Its a lot more screen real-estate and 1ms is a big difference for not a massive amount more IMO.

      • I'll note that kogan seem to use a different metric for that. HWUB tested the ultrawide, and while it listed 16ms (whatever the measurement is) it performed decently in line with the other monitors they tested.

    • The MSI is great, for a VA. I have the lesser model MAG27CQ which has same panel as the RGB one. After some calibration they have good colour reproduction (not great, but for gaming monitor that's good). MSI tends to have better warranty than Kogan or AOC.

  • I've had this monitor for a few months and I can't recommend it enough. Amazing for the price point and have had no problems with it.

  • Anyone know where in SA, I could generally go see and compare 27" to 32" UW?

    • Search for a local PC shop.

  • Can vouch for AOC monitors (at least in the past).
Long lasting with solid build and quality, only thing missing is the ‘flashy’ appearance & marketing.

    • Everyone has different experiences. My AOC developed a bright verticle line after 2 months. Warranty mean swapping my otherwise completely new unit for a refurbished unit which I was not happy to do.

      • Yes it can also depend on the product / LCD vs LED etc.
It’s also possible AOC is under different ownership now.

Bought this about 4 months ago for $480. Had to take it back due to 2 hot pixels, got another with no issues (centrecom). At first wasn't keen on the curve but has grown on me and it is actually necessary to be able to view the last couple lines of pixels on either end of the monitor at the "correct" distance. Being a VA panel there is a slight amount of ghosting but still very much acceptable. Glow is also minimal and blacks are great so overall a well rounded monitor. Recommended at this price!

Edit: beware the stand is static with only slight tilt!

Another beware: A constant issue I find with this seller is that the item is not in stock.
Check the estimated delivery, currently showing as Thu. 19 Sep and Mon. 23 Sep (for me)

    • Bought this one yesterday and received the email today saying it will shipped at the beginning of Sept.

      • Not too bad! Worth the wait. I bought one at $470 and very happy

        • So it's like a group buy?

          • @fedaykin: No not a group buy, it just seems that you need to wait for the seller to receive the stock

I've been looking at this too, but in the end it was the ridiculously long postage time that turned me away from this seller.(1 month to deliver from NSW to WA)

After some searching around, found this on the same PANTHER discount:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/31-5-LG-32GK650F-QHD-144Hz-LED-G…

Also a very well reviewed monitor (LG 32GK650F) with similar specs for $466. Delivery within a week. Pretty happy camper.

    • I was considering buying that one instead. Went with the AOC because of the curved screen.
