Help with Netcomm NF18ACV modem

Hi all, I am trying to set up my new router from Spintel for my ADSL2+

However the gray cable doesnt seem to fit into my telephone socket, and seems to be a bit too large.

As for the cable, its the regular DSL cable.

What am I doing wrong? If I need an adapter, can someone point me to the right one?

  Are you trying to put DSL cable into a telephone line socket?

  You need one of these to go in between your wall socket and the DSL cable.

  Should be real easy to source from most electronics stores.

  605 to RJ12 adapter as Master said above. $5.95 @ Jaycar, $6.90 at Bunnings and $9.95 at JB.

  Sigh… I spent $14 for one at Officeworks last night.
