  • Seats are right at the back. Can you actually see anything from there?

    • +3

The Big Top is approximately a 2,000 seat tent so distance from the stage is not an issue. Most of the acts are designed for 360 degree viewing. Use the 360 degree simulator on the ticket purchase page to see the view from your selected seats. I would pay most attention to the poles which support the tent and getting a seat between the poles. Hope that helps.

      • No plan to make this offer available in SA?

        • -1

It's available… But you'll have to travel to another state's show.

  • Thanks Op, grabbed some for a show during the school holidays.

  • Great Offer,
But I feel it is unfair, I purchased tickets a while ago back in April 2019 at full price.
Now there are sales, Next time do we just wait for sales???!

    • +1

      yes…same story every year,,

      • +1

thanks mate, I will keep note for next year.

        • +2

u might get good seats if you pre-book.. but what I have found is that the show goes on for a month or so..and except for weekends, its never full..I have used promos for the last 3 years atleast..

          • @stockastics: So, the promo is quite regular? Missed out on Melbourne offer last time, hope they’ll do it again for the year after :)

  • Trying to purchase but keep getting a 'Please check your internet connection error" on both Chrome and IE.

    • check your modem?

      • Tried on both laptop at home and iphone on mobile data, so definitely not my connection. Strange..

      • check your modem?

haha! is someone on the land line :)

        • finally someone understood ;)

    • +1

      worked for me on phone.

    • might have just been the seats I was trying to get

      • I tried on multiple laptops and had the same issue (missed out on the seats I was originally looking at)

Finally got it to work on my Phone !!!!

  • +1

Purchased 4 tickets 5th row… More towards the center.
Weekdays late night show going to be a nightmare …
    Thanks for the deal

    • +1

Why a nightmare on a weekday?

      • school/work the next day?

      • school for kids + work next day
        Will deal with that then.

        • Oh yes kids, that sounds like fun.

        • Take a sickie?

  • Thanks, was hoping NSW would get its turn. Date night for me & the Mrs, and presents for the parents and in-laws sorted!

  • Are infants allowed (4 months), (promise to keep her quiet). Also do we need to buy her a ticket? Can't seem to find the T&C's in this.

    • How can you promise this? Looking for tips, not criticising.

      • +1

I was thinking of sitting near the exits and taking her in and out if she starts crying. And also to put her to sleep before going in. The more I think about it, the worse of an idea it seems to be. Sigh just wanted a night out.

        • Haha, sorry to laugh, feel your pain.

Can't leave her with parents/in laws or have them come over to yours for a few hours?

        • I'll babysit………sounds like your overdue a stress free night

        • From experience, better save your money.

        • +1

I took my daughter to Zirk Circus a month ago, just before she turned one. I had her in a carrier and she slept through half of it, the other half, she was happy to stay in the carrier and turn her head to look at the show every now and then. But it would depend on how well your baby sleeps/tolerates loud noises. It can be done! I packed earplug for her (in hindsight probably not great for babies, wasn't organised enough to get baby banz) but didn't end up using them.

    • +1

Under 3 is free, its on the FAQ but need to be on the parents lap, show is gonna be loud and flashy it may scare her so i'm not sure if she's ready for that.

    • +2

According to their FAQ, kids under 2yo are admitted free without a ticket as long as they don't take up a seat (i.e. sit on your lap).

Just note that they also say:

Please note that many of our shows involve loud noises and periods of darkness which can frighten some children.

Another review also says (emphasis mine):

The 10-year-old boy in front of us told his parents he “loved everything” and Madison felt the same – with the exception of the 750-pound mechanical hand that she found “really, really creepy.” The publicist said KURIOS could be fun for children as young as 2. That might be a bit of a stretch, especially as the show runs for more than 2.5 hours, but kids of any age would find plenty to look at and there is absolutely nothing risqué, violent or inappropriate in the whole show.

The show is likely to out-loud any crying he or she has, so perhaps evaluate whether its OK for your kid or not instead.

  • THANK YOU!

  • Thanks

Highly recommend Cirque Du Soleil. Saw them in Las Vegas 2017, highly tempted to go see another show.

PS - I had seats quite far back, it's really not an issue.

    • +1

We saw one last year - amazing! Said we'd go if there was ever one in Sydney again… unfortunately we have a baby due at the end of September, so i'm doubting my chances of getting to this one.

Anyway - We preferred seats further back, as you get to see the WHOLE show (so much goes on above your head) - the "premium" seats in the front miss the bigger picture. I recommend looking at the front of the stage, halfway through the back section.

  • Meanwhile, this is what the owner of Cirque Du Soleil is using the cash for (torching it via bad plays):

  • No love for Adelaide ?

  • thanks for posting.
anyone know of any deals for Harry Potter play in VIC?

  • Is side seating still pretty decent?

    • +2

The performers use the whole stage and the show is meant to be a 360 degree experience, so it won't be much of a problem having seats on the side. There's a seat view simulator you can check before purchasing your tickets to see what the view might be like.

  • Thanks OP purchased 2 tickets. I remember watching previous Cirques for like $100+ a ticket so this is a bargain.

  • Bought 5 tickets for the whole family. Thanks OP ;)

  • +1

Anyone tried to buy tickets? I can see seat availability but when I click to buy, it says "No events are currently configured in this selling context. This does not mean the events are SOLD OUT, it means that there are no events."

    • I'm having the same issue. I've tried using an Android mobile phone, and Firefox, Chrome and IE on a Windows desktop.
I also tried booking tickets directly, without this discount (the wife doesn't want to miss out) but it won't accept either of our credit cards. We're getting the message:
"An error occurred during the process:
Sorry, there was a problem with your card
We could not complete this transaction. Please review your payment information and try again.
      Troubleshooting Tips:
Be sure to provide a billing zip/postal code that matches the address on file with your card company."

      Annoying!

I find several of the seats showing as available on Lastix website are not actually available on the Cirque website. So I used both sites to cross check seat availability, but even when I find a seat that is avaialable, it won't allow me to purchase them.

        • +1

Do you think Lastix pulled the promotion early? Or Cirque Du Solei website has issues?

      • +1

The offer sold out early so Cirque du Soleil deactivated the link. We removed it from our website as soon as we were notified but there was a bit of a delay before we were told.

        • To my knowledge they didn't sell out early, the seats were still there when I checked at 3am and was on the phone with them, they just pulled the promotion early. Any chance of bringing this promo back later on?
