So are these worth it? When the other brands are having sales at the moment?
If these are anything like the "cycling" ones I bought at Aldi about 18 months ago, they're not compression, they're just tights. And since they don't mention what composition (e.g. 20% lycra, etc), I doubt they'll actually be compressive.
I've got 2XU pants and Skins shirts that are great. I've got Aldi compression pants and shirt, and Eastbay compression pants and shorts, and they're all garbage - they're just tights, and don't compress at all. But that's OK if you just want to prevent chafing or something.
The Aldi's compression stuff do not offer compression as much as ZXU skins or Linebreak. But they do wick quite well.
You can pickup 2xu compression pants from DFO Spencer street or Ess for $70 - great deal - you get what you pay for with compression I guess
The full length pants for $70 are XL. and they have a logo for a cycling team.
most other sizes ate $120. I was at spencer street store yesterday.
I figure people who wear skins only/showing on the outside want to have a branded name to show off. Hey, look at me, I'm team Cervelo!
I always wear something over. I feel naked wearing otherwise
"it seems people are wearing these for comfort these days…" - mmmm, nothing better than a woman in tights ;)
Wouldn't advise men to wear these though, unless they wanna scare people with their bulge.
mumblers rock! - check out the definition on urbandictionary
A fit woman yes. Not those overweight women that wear en, shudder..
I wear these under all my motorbike gear, so warm!
Go crazy? Don't mind if I do…
