I have an old electric toothbrush that no longer works. Where and how do I dispose of it? Seems very wasteful to just chuck it in the bin.

My local Bunnings has several cages at the front of the store, for recycling electrical goods. Items are dismantled and recycled. You can always phone your local council to find locations for recycling electrical goods.
Have you tried repurposing it as a grout cleaner?
Do you think someone else might want to use your old toothbrush? lol
AFAIK, there is no recycling facility for the ABS plastic case and charger station in AU. I'm not sure if we send it O/S.
There's an electric motor in the handle that is copper & ferrous.
The cord is copper, brass and thermoplastic.
you can put it in with eWaste.
Give to Doraemon.
Brisbane Council have recycling centres, prob same with SYD
