Is this a deal or is it normal. If normally this price it needs to be in the forums
Just started today. It's just like the TF2 deal, previously you paid, but free from here on out. This deal falls in the same bucket.
This is something which has gone from paid to free, though in a reduced functionality. As OP said, the TF2 deal is similar and it's been well received as a bargain.
Doesn't seem to be a deal, much like the TF2 one. It is just literally a free restricted version of the game to tempt you to buy the full version no?
The TF2 deal is somewhat restricted as well. Disallowing players to obtain/trade for cosmetic items.
Rise of Flight has also gone F2P, and is probably the best flight simulator released in the last 5+ years..
Everybody gone F2P how can they survive?
If they made good game I don't mind pay for it.
typically its a cut down version or you use real money to buy in game items, vendors found they could sucker… i mean it was worth more cash in the long run…
definitely a deal imo
100x more people visit the front page then the forums
This is very worthy of being on the front page, its not like this is a free iphone app or something.
That's beside the point - 100 people visit a loo each day, doesnt mean that you set up a food stand inside. Your comment on this point is totally irrelevant.
It looks like its a new cut down version of a game, that was paid. Its not a bargain, its a freebie that has always been and will be free.
Your iPhone Android example is perfect, a free version cut down from a paid app would be moved to the forums.
Simple. thanks for the clarification.

not a bad idea, gives your enthusiests that have bought it cannon fodder, gives the people who play for free a taste and a good demo, no HD graphics is an incentive to upgrade as well…
(basically free is multiplayer only not high resolution)
