Amazon - Faulty Product - How Do You Contact a Seller?

Hi all,

My first two purchases on Amazon haven't worked out.

My first item, a Barestto coffee machine leaks from the press bar (air and water)

How do you go about contacting a seller on Amazon? (cant see the option anywhere)? Do you just go straight for return item?

My second item was due to arrive July 30, but it hasn't even been posted yet. Not sure what to do there either?

Amazon isn't going great for me so far. Appreciate any help.

Cheers

  • When you're on the item page. On the right it will say "Sold by xx", click it then press "Ask a question".

In the past when one of my orders went wrong (screen protector was messed up or laptop cool was not as described), I went through the online chat which has been very helpful in either organizing a return or just a refund).

It's a bit hard to get to but the steps were

    1. scroll to the bottom where it says "help"
    2. Under the "Browse Help Topics" go to the returns & refunds, then "how to" and choose "Return or Replace Items you Ordered" (don't select Returns & Refunds at the top)
    3. Bottom left under the "Quick Solutions" go to "Contact Us"
    4. go through steps 1/2 and on step 3 use live chat or call (Open 7am to 12am Monday to Sunday for both)

Not sure if this is the fastest method but was how I did it in the past.

There should be buttons next to the order, "return or replace" and "problem with order".

Amazon isn't going great for me so far. Appreciate any help.

Avoid purchasing items from third parties and stick to Amazon Prime items fulfilled by Amazon themselves. Top notch customer service when it's their own stock.

    • This was an Amazon prime sale? Only option is ask for a refund, which generates a return postage label. I just want to msg. If they sent me a new set of orings I'd be happy.

seriously… is conntacting amazon that difficult to find out?…

    • Yes, said perfectly by the first 2 replies.

      • There is a clear "Customer Service" button at the top of the page, then on that page the option for "Contact Us".

Or you can view your orders, again at the top of the screen on any page on Amazon AU "Orders" then there are options to rectify any issues next to that order.

I cannot think of any possible way they could make it any clearer or easier..

        • Just used to clicking on the item you bought, then seeing a contact seller option.

P.S. No contact us tab, nor rectify issue option. Using a Mac/ chrome / logged into prime if that makes any difference.

          • @tunzafun001: At the top of any Amazon AU page is a Customer Service button.

On the Orders page next to fulfilled orders is a button "Return or replace items".

            • @deelaroo: Customer service tab yes, but "contact us" link, no.

Orders page only has a return page, but i'm looking to contact, not just generate a return label.

I tried the suggestion in the very first post, and they replied saying they aren't the seller??

I used my phone (which looks different) clicked on the seller…messaged them, and we'll see what happens

@tunzafun001: I think you're overthinking how much you need to put into this. Like we all manage to buy things and deal with issues on orders without it being this hard. This isn't eBay. You don't need to contact the sellers.

The first issue I am not sure what you want done? You would just want a refund or to return it correct? So follow that process?

The second issues just contact Amazon support and say you paid and item hasn't been sent. They will follow it up?

  • Yeah don't buy if not fulfilled by amazon, pain to get a refund, Amazon make you wait but will eventually step in if seller doesn't.
