Another option, you can buy a Dettol No Touch dispenser starter pack from Chemist Warehouse etc for $12.99

    • I have one of those but really wanted one that dispenses foaming soap.

      • +1

Where do we buy foam refills from?

        • +1

Palmolive Foaming Hand Wash (refills) from Coles or Amazon, this one

        • +11

You can create foaming soap by mixing 2 parts soap and 1 part water. I use the big Palmolive bottles of regular hand soap and it works like a charm

          • +3

@dengziyi: For me it seems to work better with 2 parts water 1 part soap…. But depends on the soap used.

      • You can reload the Dettol refills. There are a couple of vids on you tube showing it. But your option will be easier I guess.

    • Only downside seems to be cost of Dettol refills: No Touch $4.99 (250ml) vs their own self-pump at $1.99 (250ml).

      • +3

Or drill a hole and use any soap you like.

    • +2

Can also just pump the top of a regular pump-pack, use your wrist or forearm if you don’t want to touch the spigot

      • +6

Just using a traditional bar of soap is also another alternative I guess.

        • +1

          The mind fairly boggles

Or just spit into your hands and wipe your hands dry on your partner's towel or pillow.

          • @Lucille Bluth: That's gross..

A much better idea would be to rinse your hands when flushing the toilet.. as long as the water is on the way down from the top of the bowl it should be fine

@Lucille Bluth: Sometimes it's not even spit

    • Thanks mate

I think in the long term, the Xiaomi one is a better bargain. You can use any soap (regular liquid soap can be used if you dilute it with water) to refill it instead of a specific brand. And Dettol refill bottle ($4) doesn't last very long because it dispenses an excessive amount of soap. Also creates a lot more waste.

      • More waste than a regular soap pump?

        • +1

          Don't worry I'm a regular soap user myself :)

The Dettol and xiaomi units I've used are not mine

    • I have been using these and find them great. My mum even cut a hole so she could refill with generic liquid soap…!

    • Thanks, might get one

    • I got one of those and it would randomly dispense soap without anything underneath it. I couldn’t trust it.

  • Are these durable?

    • about as durable as a cake of soap with a lot more plastic

    Neither code is working

    • +1

Not sure if the rep is around today but will ask if she can add more units.

Dann. Read this as "Flaming Soap Dispenser” and was excited. Reality is a less entertaining prospect.

    • So you thought it was homosexual and you got excited? Good to know lol

  • Anyone try code GB080904?

    • +1

      That's expired also.

What's the point? Taps are the first and last thing you touch. If the first thing you touch with your still dirty hand is also the last thing you touch with your clean hand doesn't it defeat the purpose?. That's why hospitals have automatic taps.

    • it’s electric because reasons

    • +2

Don't we flick the lever from underneath with side of dirty hand to turn on and flick down with side of clean hand to turn off? Maybe it's just me?

      • -1

        Don't most people have taps?

Why so much gadgetry for something as simple as soap? I made soap for the first time a little while ago. It's very easy:

For anyone that hasn't yet notice, this is not a Xiaomi product nor a Youpin Product that affiliate with Xiaomi in anyway, Gearbest are being misleading.

  • I hate pressing a trigger.

  • Sold out :( wanted one of these

  • It is back for order now. I just bought 3 using the codes

    $19.72 delivered frpm banggood

    https://www.banggood.com/Xiaowei-Intelligent-Liquid-Soap-Dis…

    code: BGXV1244

    • Lol bought 2 from gearbest then scrolled down to see this. Doh.

    • I don't think that is a Xiaomi product. Based on reviews it seems substandard.

  • -

  • Just tried both codes and they are both showing at their limit.

    • This code is still working GB081201

  • $12.99 in the Gearbest app.

I have one of these and will be buying some more.

    Advantages are
    - easy to refuel with any brand of soap.
    - I mix soap and water 1:2 and can wash wash dry hands because of extra water with soap. Thus tap stays clean.
    - more soap with less water gives you thicker foam.
    - controllable amount of soap dispensed. I've had the Detol ones and it's too much soap for me.
    - batteries above the soap, rather than right at the bottom as the Detol unit.

  • Order still stuck on paid, not dispatched. Anyone else?

    • Same here and I ordered before posting :(

      • hmm, have you sent through an enquiry?

        • No, not yet. Have you?

          • @adr8: Nop. I'll probably do it later when I get into work.

    • Same here and on the verge of cancelling order.

And order has now been cancelled, one less bit of plastic rubbish cluttering up the home!

  • GB081201 not working anymore.

  • Got mine today, works great!

    • i got both of mine delivered today too.

instructions were poor, nowhere does it say it wouldn't take the standard (thick) liquid soap. I had to water it down before it would work.

In the course of trying to figure out, the pump on the first one just died. Device would still power on, evident by the LEDs - but the motor won't run.

Just submitted a support ticket on gearbest to either get a RMA or refund. Can't say I'm impressed at all.

      • Might be clogged, have you tried flushing it with water using the supplied plastic syringe?

        • Yup, i've done that. either the pump or sensor is buggered.
