  I bought mine second hand shortly after launch for $479 shipped. This seems pricey. Great machine though. Way better than base x1, ps4 or pro.

  At the time, it's not a good idea to pay this much for a X1X. Next-gen is just around the corner.

  If you're getting into Xbox gaming this late, you probably don't care for the power over the X1S.

  If you really must get the X1S, I'd wait for a significantly better deal.

    Counterpoint: next gen will be very expensive at launch, XB1X should still be good for 3 or so years

    Speak for yourself. Im currently looking to purchase an Xbox One X. I absolutely dont want an S. The reason I have left it so long is I am a PC games and havent had any interest in getting a console. Now though I have 2.5 years of Game Pass subscription for the PC side of it, but I figure I may as well grab an Xbox too. I still want to have access to 4K HDR even if it can't match the quality my PC is capable of. Isnt the next gen Xbox not due until the end of 2020?

  How much should I pay for a used XboxOne X on Gumtree?
  And is there any particular versions to get or avoid, or are all the XB1Xs the same?
  I started using my Xbox360 again for multiplayer gaming but it's locking up during frenetic gameplay when it never used to do that.
