S1 and S2 are the ones that made me a fan of this series …it went downhill from there
I was such a huge fan. I could only get through 3 episodes of S5 and ended it. It was such a shame as I was so hyped.
I loved all seasons and the 2 part movie equally.
I loved 3 and 4 when I was younger, but like, if I'm going back to the show, throw on an ep from the first two seasons and I'm guaranteed a good time, throw on a later one, I'll still enjoy it but it's a bit more goofy than I'd like. All that Scylla stuff was just bonkers.
I did love the movie / ending though. I mean yet another breakout was probably a bit much, but Mike doing all that for Sarah (suppose at this point I don't have to worry about spoilers a decade after it's original end) was fitting, and given he was on the way out anyway it made perfect sense. It was a good ending, and then when they all got exonerated, bit of an easy way to tie the bow around everything perfect but whatever, it worked.
Season five sucked ass and ruined that. I know Mike was kinda the central focus and all, but I'd have been happy watching a season 5 with everyone but him and letting him stay down with the hero's death. There's no way he would let someone do all that to him, with a kid on the way, and stay out of that kid, and Sarah's lives, for a bloody decade. It's just dumb, because he's Michael Goddamn Scofield, he ain't gonna sit in some hole on the other side of the planet for no one, and what a shock, when he gets his shit together he gets that guy in like 5 minutes so know what I think, I think Mike wanted to be a deadbeat dad and took the easy way out. Shit ending, shit revival, and holy shit, I forgot how annoyed I was about it until now. Trash.
I watched PB for the first time earlier this year. I binged S1 and S2 in about 4 days. Watched the first 20 minutes of S3 and wish it had finished about 10 minutes before the end of the last episode of S2.
Just as there are only two Terminator movies for me, there have only ever been TWO seasons of Prison Break as far as I'm concerned.
I wasn’t even aware of a season 5 until today. And having a closer look on IMDB, season 6 of PB seems to be “filming”

As a massive fan of Prison Break when it was airing (I was like 10 when it started, young and dumb, sue me), holy shit I can't tell you hard enough to steer clear of season 5.
It wasn't like, absolutely terrible. It was just the most mediocre bland boring baseless unrequired dig up of a show that had a decent enough ending that now doesn't. The new episodes were so disappointing. I didn't expect all that much, let's be real, S1 is good shit, S2 is pretty bloody good too, S3 is okay but more silly, and S4 is just completely unnecessary it's crazy, they're bloody glorified action spy stars at that point it was stupid. But season 5 undoes the one good thing season 4 did, namely, the ending.
I love Mahone but he was right to not want to return to this show.
