So I recall a few people referring to the 128GB model as superior either in memory quality or speed / longevity etc.
Could someone confirm what advantage the 128GB model has over the smaller capacities?

The advantage over smaller capacities is that you can store more.
I swear I read a few comments about.. some advantage. Even if it is something technical I am interested to know.
There were benchmark tests run on the iPhone 7 release that showed the 128GB was faster than the 32GB version on sustained high loads. Real world difference is zero.
Thanks for you reply. That was most likely what I read.
You simply have more capacity… So less chance of "oh dear, I have to delete X photos / movies right now, to be able to fit any more in" type scenarios.
(or any other type of capacity issues, compared to a smaller model).
iOS takes care of that with iCloud, but you do Geta lot of "this app needs to download first" and also waiting for. your photos to redownload in full quality. I've gotten used to it and it doesn't use much data,I use less than 2GB a month even with all that iCloud stuff happening.
Google photos provide unlimited high resolution images.
Real world? Nothing except the additional storage capacity.
