Hi all, I purchased a hotel deal for Bali which was listed for $3839. I went with it because cashrewards had a 15% cashback and I also used a $100 voucher from their "ASIASALE" code.
I got a receipt from them after i purchased and cashrewards confirmed my $560.82 cash back.
I then get an email from them today to say "We’re sorry, but we were unable to process your order for Seven Nights, Ocean View Suite, Two Adults and Two Children. We kindly request you try placing your order again using a different payment method, such as Paypal or an alternative debit/credit card" as if my payment bounced.
The money had actually come out and then they refunded it. I emailed them querying it and I got the response " Unfortunately due to a technical issue you were unable to make this purchase, please accept our apologies. We can confirm you have not been charged for this transaction. We kindly invite you to make the purchase again in order to complete your order by clicking the above link or visiting the Groupon website directly.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused, this is an isolated incident and we will endeavor to ensure it does not happen again.
Now cashrewards is 5% today…go figure……smells off to me.
