TLDR: no longer need unlimited data on wireless broadband, Optus rejected downgrading my current plan and in the process dinged my credit report. Any suggestions for (possibly prepaid) wireless broadband?
Background/rant:
I've been a customer of Vivid wireless (now Optus) for over 2 years, paying $89 for unlimited data after our ADSL in the apartment suddenly failed.
I am looking to downsize because 2 of my flatmates are moving out and we won't be needing unlimited data anymore. So I got onto Optus live chat, thinking it was the easiest.
The rep agreed to give me the month-to-month $65 plan for 200GB of data and proceeded to make the order. I was then told that my application had been rejected due to credit check. This has me fuming because I can obviously afford $65 a month if I can currently afford $89. In any case, I am keen to cancel my account with Optus and find another wireless broadband
Will be grateful for any suggestions
Telstra 15 dollars per month 5 gigs data but after that UNLIMITED internet capped to 1.5mbps, alright for Netflix and YouTube at least for myself.
