That was quick getting in clearance! Not even a year into the product release!

    • They are clearing UAG cases I guess. Bought iPhone XS UAG Plyo case for just $10. Had to pay $5 shipping though, as none of the nearby stores had them.

Wow great, for Galaxy S9 they are also on clearance for $19 here

  • Are they hard plastic or TPU ? Thank you in advance

They are composite material as per their site which I guess is a type of plastic but very rigid as well as pretty lightweight. I have been using UAG cases for about 5 years now and never went back to use any other case. It protected my phones countless number of times. One of the phones after 3 years in the case still looks brand new.

      • I went through Tech21, EFM and UAG on my S8plus.
Tech21/EFM seemed to protect well from drops in the way of shock absorption. The only time that phone cracked was in the UAG case.
They are lightweight and seem ok, but I dropped it far more times in the other cases with no problems. So from that I've been off UAG myself for a while.
My S10plus is in a EFM Cayman case at the moment and seems really good for the money. I'd like to test this out as its a good deal and I like the UAG designs, but after past bad experiences not sure I want to.

      • Bought UAG case for Note 8 before and sold it off as unsuitable.
Their designs for the rear side of the case is cringey AF and ugly. Seems to be designed by 10 yr olds.
The design and lack of levelling on the rear made it incompatible with car-mounts that utilise a magnet attached to the car vent + steel plate attached to the phone.

The God ugly design on the back prevented the steel plate from being securely attached to it, requiring me to attach it to the phone itself.
The steel plate made poor contact with the magnet (for the car mount) because the case was thick, thus rendering it useless.

        I give it 1/10

I never had the problem with the steel plate because it messes with wireless charging too much.
But yeah, I didn't mind the blue plasma design at the time, and some texture on the back was good to hold on to. Looked a bit weird though, but felt better to hold.
I hate the cringy rubber fake screws and stuff.
But my biggest gripe is that they have these "milspec" ratings and I really just don't think UAG stack upto the competition.
Also found it bulkier (albeit lighter)than other cases in its class.

Pretty sure these go on clearance so quickly because they are a pretty niche design and I am assuming too many people have been burnt by the protection not meeting upto their marketing hype.

Seems with your feedback also there are many reasons not to like these cases

EFM is my go to now. Simple design, excellent shock absorption and quite compact.
