    Address must have 2 lines.

    • +2

      Two words: parcel locker

      • +2

        Parcel

        Locker

        works

        better

        • I have had item rejected as too small for parcel locker code before. Cant recall what happened though; whether I had to collect at post offce or they stuffed in letterbox.

      • Where do you put the parcel locker code? In the same box as the street address?

        • +1

My parcel locker address is something like:

          Mr H Frood
          Parcel Locker 66666
          123 Addressofpostoffice St
          Suburbofpostoffice 8888

Never had a problem getting things delivered.
Anything too small to be considered a parcel gets diverted via normal mail to my home address that is registered on my mypost account, they send me an email to notify me this is happening.

          • @froodh: So is the "parcel locker 66666" line part of the street address box you enter on online forms?

            Like:

            Street address: Parcel Locker 66666
            123 Addressofpostoffice St

            In the one line

            • +1

@Timmyy: I put on separate lines
              Line 1: Parcel Locker 66666
              line 2: 123 Addressofpostoffice St

    • Number in first line.
      Street name in second.

  • +4

Trade my address and personal details for 10 grams .. Yeh Nah

    • +4

Don't you have a burner residential address?

      • Not anymore 😂

        • +5

Get a free AusPost parcel locker

          • -2

@CC123: I do. However if it's letter size they reject it and send it to the post office. Then you have to park, wait in the line …. In other words waste half an hour for 10 grams.

            • +5

@easternculture: People will do a lot more for 10 grams…

            • +5

@easternculture: Typically, if a letter is addressed to a parcel locker, they will divert it to your registered postal address on your mypost account.
This way you can have letters delivered to your home, without revealing your address to the sender.

Aust Post might get annoyed if you do this too much, though.

              • +3

@froodh: I've had them go to the post office multiple times.

                Maybe my postman is lazy

                • +6

@easternculture: Or Aust Post love you so much that they want you to come visit them often.

                  • @froodh: They take photos of your doorstep / door when they drop things at your door these days. Its fun when the photo is if another unknown person's door! Even more so when you tell them to go look on Google Earth aa yout proof. They still would not admit to me they did not deliver to me. At least the seller appreciated my attempts to have that problem rectified though.

    • +2

What's worse is I've done this at least 2 times before for freebies and I didn't even get the freebie

  • +2

In other words sign up to spam emails and you MAY win one of 200 10g protein bars.

    • +2

Don't you have a burner email account?

      • Do you have a burner name and address 😂 😂

        • I use one of my investment properties as the address.

          • +2

@hey aj: Oh … Is the tenant happy for you to use it. You could be in breach of some laws

            • +12

@easternculture: It's a factory I have sub-divided into lots. One lot is still empty and has a mail slot. I drive passed and pick up all my free protein snacks when checking the property each month.

Thanks OP, can't wait to get SWOLE.

  • Did I miss it anywhere or is there no nutrition information and ingredients list on the website?

  • +1

Haha this will be OzBargained big time. 200 samples vs 557 clicks as of this post.

  • Will there be free incessant marketing as well?

    • Well, the product is completely free, so I expect the incessant marketing to also be free or there will be hell to pay.

  • Thanks Op - time to get massive

  • +1

Thanks so much everyone does love a freebie

  • 200 samples

    803 clicks

Safe to say there's none left lol

    • I just got some, they sent me an email confirmation lol

      • +3

Most likely automated as they didn't expect OzBargain to find them..

        Poor fellas

        • +3

they must not have a system in place to stop orders after the 200th, RIP Go Bites ordering processor

    • +1

Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Conditions of Entry, all Sample claims in excess of the advertised pool will be honoured.

      • +4

Guarantee they never thought they would get Ozbargained!

  • Signed up then realised it was 800+ clicks :-(

    Hi herpes_free_since_03,

Thanks for entering to receive a free sample of Go Bites!.

We are just preparing your free sample of our delicious Go Bites and it will be winging its way to you soon!

Make sure you don't miss out on future downloads, promotions and more, follow us on social!

    Thanks,

    Go Bites

    • +2

That's giving them a bit too much personal information😉

      • -1

A fake name, fake email and parcel locker? Go nuts…

        • You missed the obvious very personal information hey aj gave… herpes_free_since_03😊

I think that is already fake.

  • -2

Giving out your personal details for go bites. Nah I'll pass.

    • Doesn’t have to be your real details… and besides there was never such thing as a free protein snack.

  • +4

RRP is 15 packs for $57 which is near $4 per bar. Wowzza

  • Maybe they will honour everyone as those are so cheap to make.

  • +1

Deal expired, linked page is blank, Facebook post promoting the freebie has been deleted lol

    • +1

What a shifty marketing bait. Wonder what they'll do with all that free personal information they got. Would be so mad if they don't honour it.

      • +2

I'd have to hope they just hide it so that people don't ask about what was, and don't request it when it's expired.

        Time will tell…

I'm assuming everyone got emails confirming they're receiving one?

        • +2

Another way they could've gone about it is just to update the page and say that they are not accepting anymore requests. By deleting everything - it makes it look like they just want to back away from it altogether. And who knows what happened to our details.

Yeah the email confirmations could be one way to ensure it is honoured.

Hi guys. My name is Amy and I work with Go Bites. The original free sample offer was for 200 samples, as some of you have seen above, we got a huge number of people requesting samples overnight. We actually tried to amend the page, but when we did so, the url to the campaign page changed, that's why it's currently blank. The updated page can be found here. https://a.pgtb.me/GbdRgR

We have made an internal decision to increase the number of samples to 400 to help meet demand. We are now going through the entries and will contact the first 400 people with confirmation of their samples. The remaining people will also be emailed letting them know about the allocation being exhausted. There will also be an unsubscribe button in that email, so anyone who wants to stop receiving emails from us will do immediately. We never expected to get such a huge number of people registering for samples, and then the technical glitch changing the url also added to the confusion for consumers. If you left your details, you can expect an email from us in the next week confirming if you were one of the first 400 to register. Sorry for any disappointment or confusion caused - we never wanted to do that to our potential customers.

      Hi amy

No one wants to see a small business go under due to a lack of foresight, but it's a shame that this just disappeared from your terms and conditions:

Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Conditions of Entry, all Sample claims in excess of the advertised pool will be honoured.

How many claims did you get in total?

      • +2

Thanks spaceback, can I email you about this away from the forum? We got a huge number of entries and it would be impossible for us to fulfil all orders. We are looking at other options, like a discount for those people who missed out.

        • Hi amy, just click my name and on the popup box click 'start a conversation'

        • Hi Amy

Still haven't received a PM from you :)

      • +4

At least they're honest about it, they can't possibly fulfil them all and there's an easy way to unsub. +1 from me especially since they wouldn't have expected it to end up here.

        • +2

Yeah I know, but I'm also pre-empting the inevitable from the hoards that have applied for this one. By no means am I attacking the company for what has happened, but they did leave themselves open by having that clause, which was why I had it quoted in the deal post.
Sigh but thanks for the neg vote on my comment

          • +1

@spackbace: A good point, I think most will be understanding, especially since the Facebook page it was posted only has 24 likes..

We should do them a solid and give them likes lol

            • +2

@Wilder94: These guys (Great Temptations) have done random freebies at the Good Food n Wine show by just liking their page. You're right that sort of promo/freebie would give their social media a kick in the butt ;)
Though unfortunately there'd be nothing to stop people un-liking the page after they got it

    • -3

Big win for go bites as they have thousands of customer details for 400 sample packs. Cheaper than buying details from advertising companies, especially if you are a startup or small business.

Wonder how legal this information harvesting is as they should have had a counter to stop at 200 whatever maximum they can offer

Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Conditions of Entry, all Sample claims in excess of the advertised pool will be honoured

And it is probably illegal to delete such a statement from the promotion.

When supplying or promoting goods or services, it is unlawful to offer rebates, gifts, prizes or other free items without intending to provide them. It is also unlawful to fail to provide them as promised. A rebate or gift must be provided within the specified time or, if no time was specified, within a reasonable time.

I know for a fact that the ACCC is strict on collecting personal information due to privacy acts and the increasing occurrences of identity theft via electronic means

    Email just received:

*** YOUR FREE SAMPLE OF GO BITES ***

Thank you for signing up to receive a free sample of Go Bites! We had an unprecedented number of people sign up for these free samples, and unfortunately, our allocation was exhausted.

On this occasion, we will not be able to send you a free sample.

    • Ah sorry to hear. I was fortunate enough to get the email to say I'm getting some :)

      • -3

Conditions very clearly had stated "all Sample claims in excess of the advertised pool will be honoured." (Which they have stolen word for word from Mars Australia https://www.advancepuppykitten.com.au/samples/terms.html

Now they have gone against their own T&Cs. Wonder what ACCC would make of this. Glad I saved the webpage stating that previously for good measure.

    • Same here.

      • Same story.

They are grabbing your personal information and not giving anything in return.

  • +2

First I received a confirmation they would send me a sample. Today I received another email saying they are not able to send it.

Fraud people took my details and didn't even send freebie.

    • Same

      • To be honest this is big fraud. First they take all our details like phone, address, mail id's, etc. Now they just makeup random things that they ran out of the product and cannot proceed now. So, at first place why they didn't stop request form/page at time when they felt that they cannot handle any more freebie giveaway?

  • Everyone should unsunscribe.

  • +1

Hey, I got my sample today, meh tasting, gotta wash it down with milk. Good snack if you are really hungry though.

  • My sample arrived today, lemon & coconut flavour, 60g. Looks like cardboard. Hope it tastes better than it looks.

  • Hmm got the email on 19/08:

YOUR FREE SAMPLE OF GO BITES IS ON THE WAY!
…and will be with you in the next 2-3 weeks.

    Nothing yet.

Then get another email yesterday 14/09:

Thanks for joining the Go Bites family!

Meanwhile, others got their sample over 2 weeks ago

    • Yeah I haven't received mine

      • +2

        Got mine today, cheers!

  • Never received mine but they still sent me an email asking for a review
