      • -1

        We do not…

        • Mate this is Australia not US where people will believe in your #FakeNews

You yourself posted 5 deals so far and 3 have 20% off.

There are a few 20% eBay deals on Ozbargain relating to your store

Just click the tag and see yourself

@777: You can see that all those 20% off promotions I have previously posted were from 2018….

We have not run 20% off promotions recently and I can see that on Ozbargain people have noticed this. But it's up to you, if you don't want a massage chair, then you don't want a massage chair! :)

            • @ozplaza-aus: Lol what an attitude 😂😂😂😂👏👏👏

You made.made only 5 post and 3 have 20% off
Regardless it was last year, point is your only made 5 post

And you said "we do not"

You must watch Steven Colbert show and you will know what I am talking about

And to answer your question no I don't want to buy these chairs, even if I did I won't, with that kind of service from a Rep

    • It's still a saving of $123 or $133 depending on your chair of choice, that's quite a nice amount to save!

I have always wanted a good brand massage chair (and high on my list is Osim; followed closely by Ogawa). However, living in such has a small townhouse means I have to choose between a massage chair or 2sqm of valuable lounge space. Guess I need to make more lazy money to upgrade to a bigger place.

How do these compare with the Costco ones?

    • Would be great if someone who has tried both can comment.

      • You literally can try the Costco ones too.. every time I walk past there's someone in it!

  • -3

This should not be on OzBargains. 5%.

    • would you rather they do an osim and say rrp is $7999 ?

When i bought my chair i did some research.

Apparently most if not all massage chairs come from the same 2 factories in China.

The pumps and motors are generally the same, the materials such as leather, or PU leather are slightly different depending on the price. The Controller is different, so the functions or routine is different.

The advantage of costco is that you get "lifetime" warranty if you maintain a membership, but you can buy the costco one directly from the importer for cheaper. https://www.iyume.com.au/ I think this is the brand. I bought it directly from the manufacturer. There was one fault with mine, where they wired the positive terminal in reverse. The guy came around to the house and fixed it.

    • mine had a hole in one of the airbags after 13 months of very light use. I would have been happy with a repair. Costco gave me a full refund!

      • Did you have to take it back to Costco for the refund? I wondered because it's not something you can just put in the backseat of the car

        • yes you need to somehow get it back to Costco. I called Costco first to see what my options were, I managed to pull if apart in 2 parts and fit it in my suv. These things are monsters, took three of us…

That same amount of money will get you 1,163 goes of the ones at the shopping centres :)

    • its actually a good point… however….

you'd probably use this at home for about 20-30 minutes at a time, no idea how long the supermarket ones go for so im gonna say 2 minutes, or 1 dollar a minute, so thats 2326 minutes youd get for the same price, if we assume 30 minutes per go, you'd need to use this 78 times for it to pay for its self HOWEVER, this things also use electricity, if we say 500 watts, 30 minutes would cost about 7 cents per 30 minutes(elec 28c per kwh), plus there is maintenance etc on this one. (which we will ignore for now) with electricity payback would be about 2488.82 or about 83 goes, at 1 go per week, it would still pay for its self in under two years… all at the convenience of your own home. if you have multiple family members using it, it would be a week or so…

that does assume its being used for 30 minutes per week… no idea how much people use them as i never have though…

      • +1

lol you just took my joke to the next level. You forgot to factor in Petrol and time taken to go to the shopping centre into your figures ;)

        • I assumed you where at the shopping centre doing your weekly shop, as going to the shopping centre to use this would be added stress, an intangible cost of using the shopping centre chair, no doubt adding large benefits to having your own at home.

edit: opps: " if you have multiple family members using it, it would be a week or so…"
          should be
" if you have multiple family members using it, it would be a far less…"

    • +1

Ah the cost of luxury stewing in your own "moisture" instead of mixing with thousands of other peoples "moisture"…

  • This or the intouch series regularly shown at shopping centres?

    • The InTouch chairs are in a lot of shopping centers, i have one. Not cheap but excellent.

  • Massage chairs in Australia are a rort. A while ago I messaged one of the main supplies on Alibaba (forgot the name). They wanted $1200usd for a top of the line model as a one off sample or $1000usd if I ordered 30 of them FOB. This model was exactly the same as the $13000 model sold by derucci https://www.derucci.com.au/nsw/massage/massage-chairs

Shipping+GST+custom clearance charges do not make it $13000

    • yeah that's not fair to say all massage chairs in Australia.
Seems to be more of a rort by derucci.
Plus good luck dealing with warranty claims with Alibaba…

    • Is DeRucci that guy that looks kinda like Bill Gates plastered all over the billboards on Sydney's main roads a while back? He promised the best sleep ever or something?

I looked him up once out of curiousity and it blew my mind how much his prices were to begin with… like his products was lined with gold or something

  • Is this bargain?
